Wayne Marvin Huggins
Wayne Marvin Huggins, age 57, United States Army 1 SG, passed away August 2, 2026, at home in Statesboro, Ga.
He is survived by his wife Karen Huggins, and children, Justin and Elenah Bodden, Kace and Dante' Boyd,and Pvt 1st Class Joyce Garden; his mother Betty Huggins; grandfather to Willow Bodden, Luke Morales and Koenn Morales.
Nephew of Phil and Wanda Guerrero. Brother to Jeannie Huggins, Jodie Huggins and Chris Hutchinson, Marla and Trey Carroll and Emily Huggins. Cousins, Christina, Justin and April Guerrero, Lynda Guerrero, Ben and Alyssa Guerrero, Calon Guerrero, and Amanda and Pat Ortiz.
Wayne lived a life centered on what mattered most; his faith in Jesus Christ, his family, his friends, his country, and the work he loved. His unwavering faith guided every decision he made and was reflected in the kindness, strength, and compassion he showed to others. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for more than 20 years, retiring as a First Sergeant after a distinguished military career marked by numerous awards and commendations. Following his military service, Wayne continued his commitment to serving others as the Executive Director of Georgia NECA for the Southeastern Region, where his leadership, integrity, and dedication earned the admiration and respect of colleagues throughout the electrical industry.
Wayne had a gift for encouraging and uplifting those around him. He loved studying the Word of God, mentoring and teaching others, and sharing his wisdom through stories and his unforgettable song parodies that brought laughter to family and friends. He enjoyed tabletop gaming, gardening, reading, watching sports, shooting guns, and never turned down the chance to eat something spicy. Above all, Wayne cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. His life was defined by faith, service, leadership, and love for others. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Memorial Service will be held at the Bulloch Funeral Care & Cremation 2275 Hwy 80
East, Statesboro, GA on Saturday, August 8, at 4:00 pm.
