We have officially concluded the 2025-2026 Academic Year! Between the Fall and Spring semesters we awarded 258 degrees in Psychology, and it was wonderful to see so many of you at our Commencement Ceremonies. Congratulations to all of our new graduates! I also wanted to take a moment to congratulate our Departmental Award recipients.
The Psychology Award, given to a graduating senior who earned the highest GPA with the most credit hours at GS, was awarded to Ruby Buckingham & Kaitlyn Muni.
The Georgelle Thomas Award, given to students with senior status, who earned at least a 3.5 overall GPA, and demonstrated excellence in their pursuit of research, was awarded to Ruby Buckingham & Elizabeth Powell.
The Richard and Ruth Ann Rogers Scholarship was awarded to De'Ajah Lamar.
The Kathryn S. Lovett Endowed Memorial Scholarship was awarded to De'Ajah Lamar & Amira Morgan.
The Georgia Brown Watson Scholarship in Psychology, given to high achieving graduate students, was awarded to Jessica Polk & Collin Williams.
K.&.W. Field Psychology Behavioral Analysis Scholarship was awarded to Gracelyn Fernandez.
The Stu Worthington Award for Academic Excellence was awarded to Andria Bonaparte & Meera Patel.
The Nancy McCarley Bright Spot Award for brightening the Department was awarded to Seth England.
The Cindy McCormack Award for Academic Excellence and Service to the Department was awarded to Pamela Kplivi
Honorary Recognition for Departmental Service was awarded to Michael Woodcock
