πŸŽ‚πŸ° Cake Day is one of our favorite days of the month! πŸ°πŸŽ‚

This month, Reba had the pleasure of visiting 7 assisted living communities to deliver our June birthday cakes and help celebrate the wonderful residents who have birthdays this month!

There’s nothing better than spending time with the residents, sharing smiles, laughter, and birthday wishes. Along the way, Reba also had the opportunity to meet a new Activities Director at one of the communities, and we look forward to building a great relationship together.

At Nicholson Funeral Home, we are honored to serve our community in so many ways. These monthly visits are a small way for us to show our appreciation and bring a little extra joy to those we care about.

πŸŽ‰ Happy Birthday to all of our June residents! We hope your month is filled with happiness, laughter, and lots of cake! πŸŽ‚πŸ’™

πŸ’š PTSD Awareness Month πŸ’š

June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and support those living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

At Nicholson Funeral Home, we recognize that grief, trauma, and life's difficult experiences can affect mental and emotional well-being. Whether you're supporting a loved one or managing your own healing journey, awareness is an important first step.

Here are a few helpful tips:

βœ… Learn the signs – PTSD may include anxiety, flashbacks, nightmares, difficulty sleeping, or avoiding certain situations.

βœ… Practice self-care – Regular exercise, healthy eating, proper sleep, and mindfulness activities can help manage stress.

βœ… Stay connected – Reach out to trusted friends, family members, or support groups. You don't have to face challenges alone.

βœ… Seek professional support – Therapists, counselors, and mental health professionals can provide valuable tools and guidance.

βœ… Be patient and compassionate – Healing looks different for everyone, and recovery is a journey, not a race.

Together, we can help create a community of understanding, support, and hope.

πŸ’š If you or someone you know is struggling, don't hesitate to seek help and support.
