🎶 We were delighted to welcome the talented Scholher Berry for a beautiful classical guitar performance at The Legacy!

Scholher recently graduated from high school and shared her incredible musical gifts with our residents, creating an afternoon filled with inspiration and enjoyment. As she prepares to begin an exciting new chapter this August at Roanoke College, we want to congratulate her on this achievement and thank her for sharing her talent with our community.

We are already looking forward to welcoming Scholher back for another performance in the future. Best wishes as you start your college journey, Scholher, and thank you for making such a special impression on all of us! 🎸

👩‍🍳🏆 Ready, Set, Cook!

Last Friday, the kitchen became a battleground as Team Caleb faced off against Team Chris in a fun-filled cooking competition!

There was just one catch: Caleb and Chris weren't allowed to touch a single thing. Instead, they had to coach their teams from the sidelines while residents and team members did all the chopping, mixing and plating. Communication, teamwork and creativity were put to the test as each team worked to create a delicious dish.

After a spirited competition and plenty of laughs, Team Caleb claimed the championship title! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who participated and made the event such a memorable afternoon. From friendly rivalry to fantastic food, it was a recipe for fun!

Recently, Chaplain Dan Hess and his wife, Sarah, joined Community Outreach Specialist Fonda Sundeen at the annual Power in the Spirit Conference hosted by the ELCA Synod at Roanoke College.

This inspiring event brings together faith leaders and community members for engaging sessions, meaningful fellowship, and opportunities to grow in service and ministry. We are grateful for the chance to learn, connect and bring fresh ideas back to our community.

Pictured with Dan, Sarah and Fonda is Pastor John Wertz, a former board member of both National Lutheran Communities & Services and The Legacy. It was wonderful to reconnect and celebrate the shared commitment to faith, service and lifelong learning.

What a wonderful way to kick off Independence Day celebrations!

This morning, we were honored to watch a patriotic Fourth of July drive-by parade hosted by VFW Post 7814, Thomas-Fields, Staunton. Residents, families and team members gathered to wave flags, cheer and celebrate the spirit of our nation as the parade passed by.

A heartfelt thank-you to the VFW for their continued service and for bringing such joy, pride and patriotic spirit to our community. ❤️🤍💙
