Teresa is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with +30 years experience in the mental health field, including working in inpatient, outpatient and crisis psychiatric facilities. Teresa applies cognitive-behavioral (CBT), resilience, narrative and supportive therapy as treatment modalities. She is the proud recipient of the DAISY Award in Nursing, the Shadow of Influence

Award for Henry Ford Health System and has been a nominee in 2007 and 2020 for the prestigious Florence Nightingale Award for Nursing Excellence in Michigan. She is a full time faculty member at Oakland University's School of Nursing, and has also been recognized as outstanding adjunct faculty at Oakland Community College.
