1.If you brush your teeth right after breakfast, you weaken your enamel. Give it about 30 minutes before brushing so your enamel can stabilize.
2. If you don’t floss daily, plaque stays trapped between your teeth where brushing cannot reach. This is exactly where most cavities and gum inflammation start.
3. If you sip coffee, soda, or juice throughout the day, your teeth are constantly exposed to acid attacks. Having these drinks during meals instead of all day reduces the damage and gives your mouth time to neutralize acids.
4. If you don’t drink enough water, saliva production drops significantly. Saliva is your natural protection system, helping neutralize acids and wash away bacteria throughout the day.
5. If you grind your teeth at night, you slowly wear down enamel without noticing it. Wearing a night guard protects your teeth from long-term fractures and sensitivity.
6. If you notice bleeding gums or mild sensitivity and ignore it, you are often in the early stage of gum disease. The problem is usually painless at first, but it progresses silently and can lead to tooth loss if untreated.
7. If you enjoy sweets, the timing matters more than the amount. Having them with meals instead of frequent snacking reduces the number of acid attacks and allows saliva to protect and repair enamel more effectively.
How many of these do you actually do? 😁
