High school athletes are doing more and training harder than ever before.
⚾️ School sports & club teams
🏋️ Strength training
✈️ Tournaments & travel leagues
📚 Plus balancing school and life
And somewhere along the way, many athletes start believing that being in pain is “just part of sports.”
It’s not.
The best competitors aren’t just the ones who train the hardest, they’re the ones who recover well, stay healthy, and can consistently perform when it matters most.
Managing the high school competitor means:
✔️ Training smart
✔️ Recovering properly
✔️ Building strength
✔️ Addressing pain early
✔️ Preventing burnout
✔️ Creating long-term athletic development
At OnPoint Performance, we focus on helping athletes stay stong, confident, and ready to compete at a high level.💪
Lexi, Ryan, and Troy would love to help you recover and stay at your optimal competition level.

Pregnancy can be hard on the body in ways people don’t always talk about. Your back starts hurting, sleep gets uncomfortable, and even simple things like walking or getting out of bed can feel different.
A lot of patients think they just have to deal with it, but physical therapy during pregnancy can actually help quite a bit.
PT can help with:
🔸Low back and pelvic pain
🔸Sciatica
🔸Hip discomfort
🔸Core and pelvic floor support
One of the biggest misconceptions is that complete rest is the best solution. In many cases, the right movement, breathing techniques, and muscle support can make everyday activities feel much more manageable.
Pregnancy asks a lot from your body. Having the right support along the way can make a huge difference.

Dr. Lexi Laska is trained in prenatal, postpartum, and pelvic floor care and would love to help you through this incredible transition.

🏃‍♀️ Returning to Running Postpartum: A Gentle, Strong Comeback 🤍

Running after having a baby isn’t about bouncing back.
It’s about rebuilding, respecting your body, and moving with confidence again.

✨ Here’s what we want every postpartum runner to know:

👉 6-week clearance is only the starting line
Your body has been through a major physical event—healing takes time, even if you ran your whole pregnancy.

👉 Your foundation matters more than your mileage
Pelvic floor, core, hips, and glutes are the key players. Strength here = longevity on the road.

👉 Walk–run intervals > pushing through
Short run bouts. Longer walks. Listening to your body. Progress without setbacks.

👉 Leaking, heaviness, or pain aren’t “normal” to run through
They’re signals—and PT can help.

👉 Your pace may change—and that’s okay
Success now looks like consistency, comfort, and confidence… not PRs.

🧡 At OnPoint Performance, we specialize in helping postpartum athletes return to running safely, confidently, and sustainably—so you can keep doing what you love without fear or frustration.

👶🏽👟 Whether you’re 8 weeks postpartum or 2 years out and still not feeling “right,” it’s not too late to get support.

Dr. Lexi Laska is trained in pelvic floor therapy and would love to get you started on reaching your goals!

At OnPoint Performance, we believe strength looks different in every season of motherhood—and family always comes first.

Dr. Lexi Laska, our physical therapist who specializes in pregnancy and postpartum care, understands that moms aren’t just athletes… they’re caregivers, schedulers, comforters, and everything in between. Life doesn’t pause for appointments, and neither do your kids—and that’s okay here.

Whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or years into motherhood, Lexi works with you, not around your life. That means:
🤍 Flexible, realistic care
🤍 A welcoming space for babies and kids
🤍 Training that meets you where your body is today
🤍 Support without guilt, pressure, or judgment

You don’t have to choose between taking care of yourself and taking care of your family. At OnPoint, we know that when moms feel strong, supported, and confident, the whole family benefits.

You’re busy. You’re doing a lot. And you deserve care that fits your real life.
We’ve got you—every step of the way. 💪✨

🏃‍♂️ Every January, we see the same pattern.
Motivation is high. Training ramps up fast.
And a few weeks later? Shin pain, knee pain, Achilles issues.

At OnPoint Performance, we remind our patients of one key truth:
You don’t run to get fit — you have to be fit to run.

Most running injuries aren’t accidents. They’re overuse injuries—your body being asked to handle more load than it’s ready for. Shin splints, in particular, aren’t just muscle soreness… they’re a sign your bone hasn’t had time to adapt.

🚨 Pushing through pain doesn’t build toughness—it builds stress fractures.

That’s why we focus on:
✔️ Pain-guided training (no “no pain, no gain”)
✔️ Impact readiness testing before returning to running
✔️ Gradual run-walk progressions that rebuild your “bone budget”
✔️ Cross-training to keep you active without breaking you down

If your New Year’s resolution involves running—or if shin pain has already shown up—don’t wait until it becomes a chronic injury.
We’d rather help you build a strong foundation now than treat a setback later this spring.
