🍼 PSA: Pumping and bottle feeding ARE breastfeeding.

In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, I have teamed up with Boon to share what I wish I knew about breastfeeding as a first time mom.

I let so many let downs go my first time nursing, and the milk collector I used to have got knocked off by baby kicks constantly! I used the Boon Trove Milk Collector this time around and not only did I collect all the let downs, baby didn’t kick it off! And when I set it down on the counter it didn’t fall over spilling all my milk 👏

I have been consistent with offering a bottle this time to limit bottle refusal, and we have been using Boon Nursh Bottles with the Curve ni**le, as it has a narrow slope and has slow-flow ni**les. From newborn to now, I feed my baby in the same position that she is when nursing: side lying! This helps her regulate the flow and helps me pace her, too.

Remember that however breastmilk is getting into your baby- it is breastfeeding! You’re doing such a great job and every drop counts.

➡️Type “BF” and I’ll send you a link to my favorite milk collectors and bottles and links to our free breastfeeding resources, too!

Any questions about pumping, bottles, or nursing? Drop them! ⬇️

5 years ago, this week would have had me in tears.

You know, I even hesitated posting this because I’m sure there is going to be some backlash, but so be it. This is how I feel and what I want to say.

World Breastfeeding Week is an opportunity to really shine a light on an area a lot of moms need help with: breastfeeding. This past year Eat Play Say has spent time making a lot of free resources surrounding nursing, pumping, and more so parents can find what they need easily.

🩷 Because education can be so hard to find and so expensive, we are also putting our Infant Feeding Handbook 50% off for this week. It’s 200 pages of feeding support written by our entire team of experts and comes with an additional 100 pages of bonus guides about Premature Babies, Tongue Ties, Allergies, and Bottle Refusal.

No matter how you are feeding your baby, you are doing a great job!! Education is power, and it helps us make the best decisions for us.

➡️ Comment “FEED” and I’ll send you links to all of our free resources and our Infant Feeding Handbook too.

“What if I can’t her to latch right away?”

“What if I need to walk and bounce her while I’m breastfeeding?”

“What if someone looks at me??”

These are all thoughts I’ve had as I’ve nursed in public. I used to be scared I wouldn’t get her to latch easily and someone would think I didn’t know what I was doing. Or I’d accidentally slip a nip for “too long.” Or I’d have to do a lot of walking and bouncing to get baby calm while eating.

But as I continued to try and nurse out and about, it got easier. I got more relaxed. I cared less about what people think.

I kept telling myself, “If I can eat in public, so can my baby. No matter how I’m feeding them.”

In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, I hope we can continue to normalize breastfeeding in public, everywhere. Because babies deserve to eat in public too. 🩷

🌈 Type “PLAY” to be entered to win some of my favorites from Lalo!

Two years later and a lot of things have been in and out of this playroom, but a few things have stayed, most of them being from Lalo.

😍 I was worried about this light colored play mat holding up, but man it looks good as new two years later! Nontoxic and so thick, it’s comfy and the perfect surface for playing! The Play Kit was such a hit at my house that I bought two, and we use these tables and chairs daily for everything from snack time to play time.

👩‍🍳 Lalo’s Play Kitchen and Fridge are our favorite pretend play items, and the stuffy organizer and rotating bookshelf really make this room complete!

🎉We are giving away 1️⃣ Play Mat and 1️⃣ Play Kit in colors of your choice to 1️⃣ lucky winner! 🎉

☀️ Type “SUMMER” for links to all my summer staples!

We have conquered the heat, survived plane and car rides, and we still have a month of summer left to go! These are my faves for the whole family 👏

Any of these your favorites too? 🩷

I think this is what they mean when they say “you have no chill.”

I feel guilty sometimes for only doing one thing, not multitasking, not being one step ahead of where I am. But why?

Why is it so celebrated to be able to do 6 things at once but it’s not celebrated to be focused and present on the one thing in front of us? We weren’t meant to operate with 50 tabs open. We can take a minute (or multiple) and just focus on the moment we are in.

No, we likely can’t do this all day every day. Moms most definitely multitask. But we can do it for 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there. We can focus on doing one thing and being present with our littles for just a little bit each day. And we can do it without feeling bad about it.

Being in the moment is being productive. Don’t forget it 💙

I can’t wait to start solids with Natalie so soon! As a feeding specialist, I recommend parents offer baby what the whole family is having at meals, but I also recommend keeping some purées on hand too.

I love Little Spoon’s Babyblends, not only are they nutrient dense and made with organic ingredients, but I love how transparent Little Spoon is! They test each of their batches of products for over 500 toxins and publish the independent, third party testing results on their website. 👏

If you’re on your starting solids journey, be sure to check out Little Spoon’s Babyblends and more!

What foods are you excited to offer to your baby?

07/26/2026

I’m a third time mom here to make sure you know that playtime doesn’t have to be crazy.

Simple is best.
Face to face is best.
Bonding and engaging with your baby is best.

Toys are great and I have them! But nothing can replace interactions like these 🩷

Keep it simple- you’ve got this!

Iron is one of the most important nutrients when starting solids, but it can be hard to offer!

🍗🥩Meats have some of the most bioavailable sources of iron, but babies might not be great to manage a whole piece of beef or chicken. That’s why I love Serenity Kids baby food Meat Pouches.

These pouches also include a variety of organic vegetables and are a good source of iron for babies and toddlers.

Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in babies and toddlers, so be sure to focus on it at meals!

➡️ Comment “POUCH” and I’ll send you a link to save 20% off Serenity Kids’ website. Use code JORDYN at checkout.

Are you saying any of these too? 🩷

I pretty much pep talk myself through every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. The world around me seems to be so busy, so demanding, so overwhelming at times.

So these gentle reminders help me slow down. They help me gain perspective. And they help me validate that things are hard, but we can do hard things.
