✏️ Type “HOMESCHOOL” and I’ll send you our free blog about the things to consider when homeschooling for preschool, the curriculum we used, and a list of our favorite resources that helped with our learning!

👋 Hi, I’m Jordyn: Speech-Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist, and Mom of three. Since my oldest was 3 (now 5), we have been homeschooling for preschool. I have honestly loved it. The planning is not as overwhelming as I had thought, and I love watching my littles learn every day!

It took me a little while to figure out what type of curriculum I liked over the last two years (we tried out 3 different types of learning), but we recently have found our groove for right now and we are enjoying the process of homeschooling! Will we continue for all grades? I don’t know! But for preschool, this was the right choice for us.

✏️ If you want to see how we figured out how to homeschool, what curriculum and resources we liked, and how we structured our days, comment “HOMESCHOOL” and I’ll send all that info your way.

Remember that there isn’t one way of learning or schooling that’s best for all kids. This isn’t a post to convince you to homeschool. This is just what worked for us, and whatever you decide to do will be a great choice for your family! 🩷

📚 Type “BOOKS” and I’ll send you our top rated list of books for baby, as well as our free resources for reading to your baby!

👋 Hi, I’m Jordyn: Speech-Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist, and Mom of three. My team and I aim to educate parents on how to support their baby & toddler’s speech, feeding, and motor development at home!

Reading with baby right from the start is recommended, but there are some better books out there than others. See how engaged she is during this interaction? She is reaching, looking, imitating, babbling and blowing raspberries and more! That is largely due to the back and forth we are having, but it’s also due to the type of book!

Books that are:

☀️Small
☀️Short
☀️Have flaps, sounds, or touch-feel components
☀️Bright
☀️Fun
☀️Repetitive

Are the best books to engage your baby while reading.

📚 We have so many great tips and tricks on our website, as well as a list of books that are the best for babies. Comment “BOOKS” for those resources sent straight to your DMs.

👋 Hi, I’m Jordyn: Speech-Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist, and Mom of three. My team and I aim to educate parents on how to support their baby & toddler’s speech, feeding, and motor development at home!

Most 4 month olds are not ready to start solids, but there are SO many things you can do to help them prepare. And they are so easy! These 5 exercises are simple to do, take only a few minutes, and are doing BIG things in helping your baby get ready for solids.

👏Crunches- working those ab muscles so baby can sit up tall in the high chair soon! (They LOVE this exercise- let them do most of the work!)

👏Rolling & Tummy Time- working on core strength and neck control, both needed for safe swallowing!

👏Reaching and Grasping Books- Practicing that motor plan for grasping foods off the tray!

👏 Teethers to Mouth- Baby is practicing bringing foods to their mouth & they are working those jaw muscles!

Check out our free resources, and our Infant Playbook, too!

🎉 Created by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech-Language Pathologist, our Playbooks have ALL the info you need to meet ALL of your little ones milestones! And the best part is that every activity costs ZERO dollars to do and you can do these activities anywhere at anytime.

👏🏼Families in over 100 countries have used our resources to help their littles at home!

🍼 PSA: Pumping and bottle feeding ARE breastfeeding.

In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, I have teamed up with Boon to share what I wish I knew about breastfeeding as a first time mom.

I let so many let downs go my first time nursing, and the milk collector I used to have got knocked off by baby kicks constantly! I used the Boon Trove Milk Collector this time around and not only did I collect all the let downs, baby didn’t kick it off! And when I set it down on the counter it didn’t fall over spilling all my milk 👏

I have been consistent with offering a bottle this time to limit bottle refusal, and we have been using Boon Nursh Bottles with the Curve ni**le, as it has a narrow slope and has slow-flow ni**les. From newborn to now, I feed my baby in the same position that she is when nursing: side lying! This helps her regulate the flow and helps me pace her, too.

Remember that however breastmilk is getting into your baby- it is breastfeeding! You’re doing such a great job and every drop counts.

➡️Type “BF” and I’ll send you a link to my favorite milk collectors and bottles and links to our free breastfeeding resources, too!
