End of life/ Comfort Care

We use end of life comfort care in our Swing Bed (skilled nursing) hospital setting. End of life care may look different depending on the patients wishes. Some people want to be home when they pass away, while others may prefer to be in a hospital. Some patients often live with one or more chronic illnesses and may need significant care for days ,weeks, or even months before death. At HRH patients can be surrounded by family and friends while our qualified staff provides physical, mental, and emotional comfort. Let us help you and your family through this transition.

June is Hernia Awareness Month

A reminder that paying attention to your body matters. Hernias are a common medical condition that can affect people of all ages, often causing discomfort, pain, or a noticeable bulge. Early recognition and timely medical evaluation can help prevent complications and improve outcomes.

This month, take time to learn the signs and symptoms of hernias, encourage loved ones to seek care when needed, and prioritize your own health. When it comes to hernias, awareness and early treatment can make all the difference.

End-of-Life Comfort Care at Haskell Regional Hospital

When a loved one reaches the end of life, families are often faced with difficult decisions, overwhelming emotions, and the physical demands of providing around-the-clock care. While many families wish to care for their loved one at home, sometimes the level of care needed becomes more than they can safely or comfortably manage.

At Haskell Regional Hospital, our End-of-Life Comfort Care Program is here to help.

Our compassionate team provides comfort-focused care designed to ease pain, maintain dignity, and support both patients and their families during this important time. We understand that families want to spend meaningful moments together—not be consumed by the stress and responsibilities of caregiving.

Let us help carry the burden so you can focus on what matters most: sharing precious time, creating memories, and being present with your loved one.

You don't have to walk this journey alone. Haskell Regional Hospital is honored to provide the care, comfort, and support your family deserves.

❤️ Compassion. Dignity. Comfort.
