There’s nothing quite like homemade curry during a snowstorm ❄️🔥
Curry is one of my faves -> it’s super yummy and it’s loaded with spices that are rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, is great for digestion, immune health & so much more.
Here are some of the TCM medicinal uses of common curry spices (so many TCM herbs can be found in your pantry!):
Garlic: may be used for parasites, skin sores, diarrhea, cough, seafood poisoning, cold & flu
Ginger: may be used for cold & flu (not for sore throat or other major heat signs- unless advised to do so!), nausea, cough, seafood poisoning & reducing toxicity of other herbs
Turmeric: may be used for chest pain & abdominal pain (due to Blood Stasis or Liver Qi Stagnation), abscesses, traumatic injuries, sore & swollen joints, tendons & muscles
Cardamom: may be used for nausea, low appetite, fullness, belching (from Dampness or Cold)
Clove: may be used for nausea, hiccup, abdominal pain (Cold presentations), and impotence (from Kidney Deficiency)
