Let’s make a conscious shift together - start here ↓
Self-abandonment is a common theme I see with clients in my practice.😮💨
Trust me, I have been there too.
Instead of sitting with the feelings and body sensations, you try to “to-do list” your way out of the discomfort. You add more tasks to your already overwhelming self care list because being in control is easier than feeling the feels.
If that sounds familiar - start with these tips to hold space for yourself, honor your body, and listen to the cues it’s trying to share:
💫Pause for awareness and answers:
When you feel symptoms or tension creep in - take a moment to pause. Take 5 deep breaths, focusing on your exhale being longer than your inhale. Then ask yourself “what does my body need right now?”
💫Say YES to one thing that will shift you towards the direction your body needs attention, care, or support.
💫Allow someone to support you in a small way I see you strong lady - you CAN do it all, but you don’t have to. If someone wants to buy you coffee, let them. If someone wants to help with a task (even if it’s not how you’d do it 😉), let them. Give yourself space and grace to feel and flow.
☀️Here are some bonus tips to consider this week:
‣ Stop saying yes to things when they don’t feel like a full yes in your body and heart
‣ Change your pace: that may be slowing down, or even creating more time for meaningful connections and fun
‣ Get a chiropractic adjustment focused on nervous system reset + regulation (hi, it’s me🙋♀️)
‣ Notice when you’re about to ‘add more’ just to feel enough, and pause
‣ Plan something fun for your day (or week) and schedule life around it. Joy is a natural healer!
If this resonates with you, save this post for later, or share it with a friend that needs these tips too.🫶
