“Gentle” isn’t the point.

At Eagles Landing OBGYN, trauma-informed care means we treat an OB/GYN visit like a safety system. We separate consent from compliance, so you can decline parts of the exam without losing care.

You can ask what happens next before it happens. We’ll also choose communication that reduces surprises—especially if you’ve had a traumatizing exam or an experience with childbirth.

Care that respects your nervous system, not just the schedule. If you want an appointment that feels safer, book an appointment.

That “normal” pain? It doesn’t just show up and disappear.

We hear it every day: “It’s just hormones,” “I should’ve tolerated it,” “Maybe it’s stress.” But when something keeps returning—cramps that feel different, bleeding that doesn’t match your usual pattern, pelvic discomfort that won’t let go—you deserve more than a shrug.

You deserve answers. Next time it shows up, bring it up clearly: what you feel, how long it lasts, what makes it better or worse. We’ll listen, review your history, and talk through what’s possible—step by step.

Save this for your next visit, and if you’re ready to talk it through, contact us.

Your body changed—and the questions you carry are valid.

After birth, we often see women who feel “mostly fine” but still notice things like healing that feels slower than expected, mood shifts, or new pelvic/urinary discomfort. Those aren’t something to power through quietly.

Postpartum check-ins matter more than you think because they help us catch what’s normal for recovery… and what needs support. And you deserve a visit where your concerns are heard, not rushed.

If you’re weeks or months out and wondering if what you feel is “normal,” we want to talk.

That “normal” period pain? We hear you—and we don’t want you to just tolerate it.

If you’re bracing every month, keeping track of symptoms, or canceling plans because cramps hit hard, it’s worth a real conversation. Sometimes what feels “typical” can point to treatable conditions.

We’ll help you sort out what’s going on, what options are available, and what to do next—so you feel supported, not dismissed.

A missed period shouldn’t turn into a week of silent worrying.

We see it a lot: you feel “off,” you’re not sure if it’s stress, a change in routine, hormones… or something else.

Here’s what matters most—what to look for, when to take a pregnancy test, and when it’s time to call our team instead of guessing.

If you’d like support with next steps, contact us.

Your period changed—now what?

We see it all the time: heavier flow, new spotting, cycles that suddenly don’t feel like “you.” It can be stress, hormones, a new medication… or something that deserves a closer look.

If something feels off, you don’t have to wait it out alone. We’ll listen to what you’re noticing and talk through options, from screening to treatment—at a pace that feels safe.

You’ve been trying to wait it out—then the symptoms keep building. One ER visit. Then a “call back next week.” Meanwhile, an underlying issue doesn’t pause.

We see how delays, gaps in consistent prenatal/OB follow-up, and untreated conditions can turn warning signs into complications. And when access to care isn’t the same for everyone, the risk doesn’t land equally—racial disparities in maternal outcomes are a real part of the picture, not a distant statistic.

That “something’s not right” feeling matters. If you’re worried, we’ll listen. Book an appointment or contact our team.

“I feel fine.” That’s the exact sentence we hear when you’re months postpartum—or when it’s been a year since your last well-woman visit.

But recovery and hormone changes don’t always come with obvious symptoms. Our postpartum and well-woman follow-ups help us check what’s easy to miss, review how you’re healing, and make sure preventive screenings stay on track based on where you are in your life.

You’ll talk through bleeding, pelvic comfort, contraception, mood, and any concerns you’ve been pushing aside. And we’ll review the screenings you may need so we can catch issues early—while they’re still easier to treat.

If you’re overdue for your postpartum/annual check-in, we’ll help you get back on track—book an appointment or visit our website.
