Destiny McPherson didn’t feel a lump. Her breast cancer was found through her annual mammogram.
After additional imaging and a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis, Destiny learned the tumor was small but fast-growing. She completed six rounds of chemotherapy followed by four weeks of radiation therapy, and in August, she rang the bell to mark the end of treatment.
Now, she’s sharing what she learned from her experience and encouraging other women to stay proactive about their health.
“My advice for women is to get your annual mammogram and do genetic testing as well,” Destiny said. “It’s important to catch any problems early. If something is discovered, do what you need to do. This is a great team at Piedmont Henry and they’ll help you through it.” 🧡
