☀️Happy Chemicals is BACK and this year we are celebrating by moving our bodies!☀️

🕺We are emphasizing how Movement is Medicine and how it allows us to experience a D.O.S.E (dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins) of happy chemicals through a variation of mindful movements! Some of the mindful movement workshops include dance, yoga, and other types of activities! 💃

🔆This is a FREE event open to all ages! We will be having tons of FREE resources, food, movement workshops, wellness activities, hair cuts, giveaways, and MORE! 🔆

In honor of National Overdose Awareness Day, ECHO & Little Manila Youth Advocates are hosting a screening of The Fix, a documentary series that covers the impact of drugs in the world and how community connection leads to the betterment of all affected. We will also have a vigil to remember those who have passed due to overdose. Please join us to be in community, learn together, and pay our respects to those who have been lost to overdose deaths. 🩵

🌟We are bringing Threads. & Blooms back and what better way than to get creative with junk journaling!🌟

In collaboration with Stockton Junk Journal Club we are junk journaling as a community! Junk journaling is a DIY activity that repurposes everyday ‘junk’ into art in a similar fashion to scrapbooking. It’s a fun way to be ecologically creative!

Some items you can use for junk journaling are:
🧾 Receipts
🙂 Stickers
🎟️ Tickets
🧴Product Packaging
🌺 Pressed flowers
🌉Postcards
& any other ‘junk’ you’d like to collage onto your journal!

Bring your journal, junk & good vibes to get your creative juices flowing! Materials can also be provided if you don’t have a journal📓
