Delta Health Care is a nonprofit community-based organization providing the WIC supplemental nutrition program, breastfeeding support and services, nutrition education, healthy cooking demonstrations, school-based health centers and much more! Delta Health Care and Management Services Corporation (Delta Health Care) is a private nonprofit community based organization dedicated to providing health,

wellness, breastfeeding, and health education outreach services to underserved families, women, adolescents, children and individuals in San Joaquin County. Developed by the Community Action Council to serve the needs of low income families, the organization began providing services with an emphasis on Family Planning prior to 1970 and became incorporated as Delta Health Care, a not-for-profit agency, in 1978. Core services currently provided include:

School-Based Health Centers: Delta Health Care opened its first school-based site at Edison High School in January 1993 to provide comprehensive health services to students. Delta Health Care now operates the provision of services to students at Edison, Stagg and Franklin High Schools, including sports physicals, general medical and mental health services, reproductive health care, screenings, counseling and referrals. Outreach at community organizations, events, and schools: Delta Health Care utilizes a variety of age and culturally appropriate curricula/information for outreach and promotion at several community events and health fairs, resources to medical offices, referrals to additional community organizations and provides valuable information to those in need throughout the community. Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program: The WIC Program is a federally funded nutrition program administered by the State of California. Delta Health Care’s WIC Program began in 1972 and, as the largest provider of WIC services in San Joaquin County, continues to be a leader in the provision of WIC Nutrition Services including enrollment, food instrument distribution, nutrition counseling, education and care plans to WIC eligible participants at five sites located in Stockton and Lodi. Breastfeeding Support and Promotion: Delta Health Care provides breastfeeding support, promotion, lactation education and information to WIC clients and the community. We have International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) on staff to provide direct lactation support services. Please call (209) 477-0378 for more information.

Delta Health Care will continue distribution of the annual Farmer's Market Nutrition Program benefits this Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 8:30am-12:30pm at the Certified Farmer’s Market near the former Sear’s parking lot at Weberstown Mall in Stockton.

To qualify, you must be a:
• Delta Health Care WIC participant (Pregnant/Breastfeeding/Non-BFing/Infant after the six-month birthday/Child 1-4),
• Completed the necessary Nutrition Education class requirements,
• Bring identification and your CA WIC card,
• And must pick up at the Farmer’s Market location.

You will receive:
• One-time $30 FMNP benefit + $6 CNIP = $36 benefit total, to purchase fruits & vegetables at the Certified Farmer’s Market (only WIC approved farmers),
• One benefit allotment per WIC family, per year,
• Use the benefits by November 30, 2026,
• While supplies last.

Shopping at farmers’ markets is a great way to get fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables.

WIC families can now use the new California WIC Card to spend their Fruits and Vegetables Benefit year-round at farmers’ markets. Look for the QR code on the front of the WIC Card.

The monthly benefit amounts are:

• $26 for children ages 1 to 5
• $48 for people who are pregnant and postpartum
• $52 for people who are breastfeeding
• $78 for individuals breastfeeding more than one infant
