Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program (BBHOP) is a growing student organization here on campus with the focus of primarily organizing health fairs.

Our mission is to provide quality health care services to the under-served African American community.

The RAZR Barbershop Health Fair 2024 💈

Thank you to the all the volunteers, preceptors, & co-chairs/project managers that took their time out of the day and help provide free screening services to patients! A huge shoutout to Operation Heart, Operation Diabetes, White Coats for Black Lives, and Mental Health Awareness Committee for coming out to the health fair! Together, we were able to serve the community by providing free, unbiased health care services. Last but not least, a huge thanks to the RAZR barbershop! This health fair would not have been possible without all your help. Thank you for giving us a space to provide health screenings for the community!

Hello everyone! On behalf of the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program (BBHOP), we will be hosting a health fair in collaboration with the Razr Barbershop! This event will be taking place on Saturday, February 17th from 10:00am to 3:00pm and we’ll be collaborating with Operation Heart, Operation Diabetes, White Coats for Black Lives, and Mental Health Awareness Committee. We hope to see you all there! 💊

On behalf of the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program, (BBHOP) we would like to invite you to participate in the Stockton Black Family Day Celebration, Monday September 4th from 12:00 - 4:00 pm. We will be holding a clinic in collaboration with Operation Diabetes, Operation Heart, and White Coats for Black Lives.

💊 We will be addressing the various health care disparities among African Americans in Stockton by screening, educating, and referring them to local healthcare resources. The services that we will be providing include screenings such as glucose and blood pressure, as well as education regarding diabetes and heart disease.

💊 We are requesting additional student volunteers, so we are looking for those who are interested in participating with us at this event. P1 students are more than welcome to volunteer to set up and shadow as a learning opportunity to prepare for future health fair events!
