This week, our team had a great time attending the MassHire Job Fair! Alicia and Angel enjoyed connecting with so many talented and qualified candidates interested in making a difference through caregiving.

Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to meet members of the community, share information about careers in home care, and build relationships with individuals who are passionate about helping others.

I’ve been thinking about yesterday’s Mystic Valley Elder Services Legacy 50 Summit and one thing keeps sticking with me—the conversations.

Throughout the day, we asked people to share a word that matters to them when they think about aging with dignity. Some answers were what you might expect: independence, safety, family, and love. Others were deeply personal. What struck me wasn’t the words themselves, but the stories behind them.

Aging touches all of us. We’ve all cared for someone, worried about someone, or watched a loved one navigate the challenges that come with getting older. Yesterday was a reminder that aging with dignity isn’t just about services—it’s about maintaining choice, connection, purpose, and the ability to continue living life in a way that feels meaningful.

I left feeling grateful to be part of a field that helps make that possible every day.
