Enter the main visitor parking lot. Go to the back left, away from the entrance.
Park. (Any level is fine) Follow the signs by the staircases to the MART.
(Exit the back of the lot, opposite the exit for the main hospital.)
Enter the building by the sign for the Auditorium.

• Q&A with our midwives
• A tour of Triage, Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside of the uterus. More than 90% of ectopic pregnancies occur in a fallopian tube. As the pregnancy grows, it can cause the tube to rupture, leading to severe internal bleeding and a life-threatening medical emergency that requires immediate treatment.

Early symptoms may feel similar to a normal pregnancy and can include:
• Missed period
• Tender breasts
• Nausea or upset stomach

Other warning signs may include:
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Low back pain
• Mild abdominal or pelvic pain
• Cramping on one side of the pelvis

Bottom line: If you experience abnormal bleeding and pelvic pain, contact your healthcare provider right away.
