Last night, our members gathered for our biennial S**C Dinner, a chance to step away from the day-to-day demands of EMS, relax, and enjoy an evening together.

While weโ€™ll be sharing photos from the event soon, we first want to extend our sincere thanks to W.P. Faist Vol Ambulance Corps for covering our station throughout the evening and overnight!

Their support allowed our members to enjoy a well-deserved night of fellowship and fun while ensuring uninterrupted service to our community.

We are grateful for their partnership and willingness to support us so our members could enjoy this special occasion.

Thank you, Faist!

๐Ÿšจ Community Highlight: Inspiring the Next Generation of Helpers! ๐Ÿšจ

Stony Point Ambulance Corps had the absolute pleasure of visiting the wonderful kindergartners at Stony Point Elementary School for a special morning of learning, exploration, and community connection!

We brought 61B2 right to the school parking lot, along with three of our dedicated corps members, to give the students a firsthand look at how we help neighbors in need.

Our team walked the kindergartners through the ambulance, showing them everything from the bright flashing lights to the stretcher and medical kits. The goal was simple: to make the ambulance a friendly, familiar, and completely non-scary sight. We talked about basic safety, when to dial 911, and how EMS providers are just regular neighbors with a special job to keep everyone safe.

The energy was incredible! The students had fantastic questions, showed off their best safety knowledge, and loved seeing the lights in action.

A huge thank you to the staff and teachers at Stony Point Elementary for hosting us, and to our incredible future first responders for being such an awesome, attentive audience. Weโ€™re so proud to protect and serve this community, starting with our youngest residents!

Check out a few snapshots from our visit below!

Supporting the next generation of EMS heroes! ๐Ÿคโค๏ธ

This past Sunday, S**C was proud to support the EMS training operations over at the Rockland County EMS Training Academy. Keeping our skills sharp and helping new trainees get hands-on experience is what itโ€™s all about.

Our crew headed over with 61B1 to assist with intensive CPR simulations and a dedicated lifting and moving lab. Practice makes perfect, and we love being able to provide the tools, rigs, and personnel to help these future providers build confidence for the field.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who took the time out of their weekend to mentor, instruct, and support.

Stony Point Ambulance Corps was honored to stand alongside our neighbors at the annual Watch Fire held at Bowline Point Park in Haverstraw.

This tradition brings our community together every year to remember and honor the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The Watch Fire serves as a symbolic beacon to guide the spirits of our fallen soldiers home.

A huge thank you to the Haverstraw community, the local veteran organizations who organize this beautiful tribute, and to all our members who attended the event.

We are always proud to serve and stand with Rockland County. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿš‘โœจ

Part 4: POTUS visit to Rockland! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Yesterday, Stony Point Ambulance Corps supported .p.faist_ambulance and our federal, state, county, and local public safety partners during the POTUS visit to Rockland County.

In addition to event support operations, we staffed an additional ambulance crew to help reduce strain on the EMS system and ensure our community continued to receive uninterrupted emergency medical care throughout the day.

Thank you to all responding agencies and personnel who worked together to help keep the region safe.

Part 3: Visit to Lumina! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ“š

This week Brittany Delahanty, an Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Lumina School by day and volunteer EMT by night, had the opportunity to visit the Little Stars program in Viola!

Brittany spent time with students showing them the ambulance, demonstrating lifesaving equipment, answering questions, and helping familiarize them with emergency responders in a fun and hands-on environment. Students even had the chance to tour the ambulance and buckle into a stretcher.

Weโ€™re grateful for the opportunity to connect with these amazing students and staff while helping teach the importance of EMS and community safety. Thank you to Rockland BOCES for having us!

Be sure to check out the Rockland BOCES post for even more photos and highlights from the visit!

Part 1: Youth Corps Competition! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ†

On Sunday, May 17th, we kicked off EMS Week with the County Youth Corps Competition!

Our proudly represented Stony Point, sending three teams to compete and demonstrate their skills alongside teams from across the county. Weโ€™re happy to share that our teams brought home:

๐Ÿ† 2nd Place in the Medical Scenario
๐Ÿ† 3rd Place Overall

A huge shoutout to the advisors and members who coached, mentored, and cheered them on every step of the way. These wins are yours too!

While the competition was taking place, our operational crews remained hard at work staffing ambulances not only for the county EMS system, but also supporting the event by following and assisting professional cycling teams as they traversed through our town.

From youth competitions to large-scale event coverage, our members were busy serving the community all day long!

Weโ€™re glad we could support Rockland BOCES and the kids at Lumina! ๐Ÿ“š
