Did you know the banana split was created in 1904 by a pharmacist in Latrobe, Pennsylvania? His iconic dessert was originally sold at the soda fountain for ten cents! Today, National Banana Split Day is observed annually on August 25th with festivities in Latrobe and scoops and scoops served at Kettle Park!

If you have wondered what our Creative Design group has been up to, join us Mondays at 2:00! Will and the team are designing useful 3D printed items to make everyday life easier. This week, they are 3D printing large BINGO cards so our visually impaired residents having an easier time participating.

Our 3D printer was chosen by our residents and recently purchased with our winnings from our Spark Challenge.

Sharing a sweet treat with our staff is never a bad way to start our Friday at Kettle Park! Today, the Stoughton, Wisconsin Police Department was once again participating in Cops on a Rooftop to raise funds for Special Olympics.

The Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser for the Special Olympics officially started in 2003 in Illinois, when law enforcement officers first staked out Dunkin' rooftops to raise money and awareness.

The event helps support year-round sports training, local athletic competitions, health programs, and state-level athletic events for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

⛳️ What a fantastic day at the Stoughton Area Chamber Golf Outing! A big thank you to Cardinal View Senior Living for your support and partnership in making this event a success.

We also want to thank the Stoughton Country Club for hosting such a beautiful event. The course was in outstanding condition, and it provided the perfect setting for a fun day of golf, networking, and community.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our hole, spun the prize wheel, and visited with us. We enjoyed meeting so many great people and can't wait for next year! 💜🏌️☀️

Kettle Park would like to introduce you to our visiting nurse practitioner, Julia Schweppes, FNP-C! Earlier this year, Kettle Park kicked off a very successful and growing partnership with Curana Health. This partnership provides residents the opportunity to use this service as their primary or secondary care provider in the comfort of their own home. Eliminating the challenge of going out in inclement weather or having to worry about arranging transportation, our residents are finding Curana to enhance their experience at Kettle Park.

If you are interested in learning more about enrolling your loved one in this service, call the community or stay tuned for an announcement for an upcoming informative family meeting.

This Fourth of July, Kettle Park Senior Living has so much to be grateful for including our residents, families, team members, partners, and friends who make our community.

We come from different backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life. Together, those stories help create the strength, purpose, and belonging that make Kettle Park and our great nation so special.

We extend special appreciation to our veterans and their families for the sacrifices made in service to our country and the freedoms we celebrate today. As America marks 250 years, we are honored to recognize the legacy of those who have helped shape our nation.
