🎀 3½ YEARS OF SURVIVORSHIP 🎀

Today was my 3½-year survivorship appointment. 💗

I walked in today grateful to be able to say that everything went well and there are no concerns. 🙏🏼

There are a few routine referrals for things I want to address and take care of because survivorship has taught me that taking care of yourself doesn’t end when treatment does.

It’s crazy how something as simple as walking into the breast center can bring back so many emotions.

There was a time when these appointments were filled with fear, uncertainty, and the constant question of “What happens next?”

Today, I walked in differently.

A little stronger.
A lot more knowledgeable.
And incredibly grateful to still be walking forward. 💕

Survivorship isn’t just about no Eve. It’s learning your new body, advocating for yourself, paying attention to the things that don’t feel right, keeping up with your health, and learning how to LIVE again after cancer changed so much.

And maybe that’s one of the biggest reasons I do what I do now.

Every time I walk through those doors, I’m reminded of the woman I was when this journey began and of all the women who are walking through those same doors for the very first time.

3½ years later… no concerns. Another appointment behind me. And another reminder to never take an ordinary day for granted. 🎀

Here’s to continuing to heal, grow, advocate, and LIVE. 🩷

🎉🍋 I’m officially a Know Your Lemons Educator! 🍋🎉

You may have seen that Know Your Lemons recently introduced me as one of their newest educators, and I wanted to share a little more about what that actually means — and why it means so much to me. 💗

As a Know Your Lemons Educator, I’ve been trained to teach breast health and breast cancer awareness using the Know Your Lemons educational tools in a way that is simple, visual, approachable, and easy to remember.

That means I can help women learn:

🍋 The 12 possible signs of breast cancer because a lump is NOT the only sign
🍋 How to become familiar with what is normal for their own breasts
🍋 When and how to speak up when something doesn’t seem right
🍋 The importance of screening and early detection
🍋 How to feel more confident having conversations about breast health

This role is especially personal to me.

After walking through breast cancer myself, I know how overwhelming all of this can feel. Now I get to take my experience, combine it with evidence-based education, and use it to help other women become more informed and empowered about their bodies.

And this fits so perfectly with what we are building at Embrace Pink Support Center not only supporting women AFTER a diagnosis, but helping educate our community BEFORE one. 🎀

I’ll be bringing Know Your Lemons education into workshops, community events, speaking opportunities, women’s groups and more throughout Northeast Ohio.

Because if one conversation helps someone recognize a change sooner, schedule the mammogram they’ve been putting off, or advocate for themselves at the doctor… that conversation matters.

🍋 Know when to get checked.

I’m incredibly excited to add Know Your Lemons Educator to the many ways I get to serve women in our community. 💕🎀🍋
