Yesterday we celebrated someone who reminds us that growth is not always easy, but it is always worth pursuing.

For many years, Miriam has been a dedicated CNA at Whitestone Care Center. Through the years, she has brought something to our residents that cannot be taught in a classroom. Her spirit, her warmth, her energy, and her genuine heart for the people she serves. Our residents know and love her, and the joy she brings into their lives is felt far beyond her job title.
Miriam's story doesn't stop there.

With determination, discipline, and an incredible work ethic, she continued to pursue becoming a LPN. She completed her coursework and passed her test, a tremendous accomplishment that reflects her tenacity, resilience, and commitment to becoming more. It is a testament to what happens when you refuse to give up on yourself.

We are so proud to celebrate Miriam and all that she has accomplished. At Whitestone, we believe in celebrating one another's victories, standing beside each other through the hard moments, and lifting each other higher. These are the moments worth celebrating. We are incredibly proud of you, and cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes you. Congratulations, you earned this moment!!

At Whitestone, we found our One Particular Harbour.

We celebrated Jimmy Buffett Day the only way we know how, by turning an ordinary day into something worth remembering.

The intercom became our soundtrack, with Buffet filling the halls while our staff traded their everyday look for tropical shirts and a island state of mind.

Jason took over the grill with Cheeseburgers in Paradise, followed by key lime pie, pina coladas, and strawberry daiquiris for everyone.

Then came the treasure hunt. We scattered our Lost Shakers of Salt throughout the facility, and set our team searching. We gave some great prizes along the way. A little competition, and Fins energy.

Maybe its not really about the latitude its the attitude and the people your surrounded by.
Whitestone is our One Particular Harbour, a place where our team comes together, celebrates one another, and finds ways to make the everyday a little less ordinary.

We close out summer with great music, great food, and a reminder that sometimes the best days are how you create them.

Red shirts, ripe tomatoes, and summer vibes! ❤️ The Whitestone team celebrated the season with a table full of fresh tomatoes, Italian bread, and balsamic vinegar, and fresh basil from our garden.

Proving that some of life's greatest luxuries are also the simplest. Nothing beats a fresh tomato sandwich shared with friends and coworkers. What's your favorite summer comfort food? ☀️
