Yesterday, an incident occurred at our clinic that we want to address openly.
While in our care, a patient slipped out of their harness during a walk and ran off. Our team immediately mobilized—staff spent hours searching, we contacted animal control right away, and we worked alongside the pet’s family and the community to try to locate him.
We understand how upsetting this was for the pet’s owners and for everyone who cares deeply about the well-being of animals. We share that same concern, and this was an incredibly difficult and emotional experience for our entire team.
After an extensive search and continued efforts overnight, we are very relieved to share that he has been found and is safely back home with his family.
In over 28 years of serving this community, we have cared for thousands of pets and have never experienced a situation like this. While this was an accident, it is something we take very seriously. We are already reviewing our protocols to ensure we do everything possible to prevent this from ever happening again.
We are grateful to animal control, the local community, and everyone who helped spread the word and assisted in the search.
Our commitment has always been—and remains—to provide safe, compassionate care for every pet entrusted to us.
Thank you for your understanding.
