A Huge Thank You to Love INC Sturgis

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Love INC for collecting supplies throughout the month of November for our clients at Compass Point! 🫶

Your generosity and willingness to come alongside us in supporting individuals on their journey toward recovery mean so much. These supplies will help meet important needs and remind our clients that they are cared for, supported, and not alone.

Over the next month, Love INC Sturgis is partnering with Crisis Intervention Shelter Service and Compass Point to collect supplies for their participants as a show of thanksgiving for their work and our community and to demonstrate that love in the Name of Christ is practical and engaging, not simply a nice thought. Take a look at the needs list and bring an item or two by our office (1242 Sherman St)! Let's together be the hands and feet of Christ to Sturgis.

Some days, progress is a big breakthrough. Other days, it is getting out of bed, drinking some water, answering one phone call, or simply saying, “I need help.”

All of it counts.

And if someone offers you a seat, a snack, or a cup of coffee while you figure things out… that counts too. ☕️

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT COMPASS POINT!

There’s a whole lot of excitement happening at Compass Point, and we can’t wait to share it with our community!

From new faces on our leadership team and exciting improvements in our programs to growing community partnerships and finding new ways to support individuals on their recovery journey, we’re moving forward with purpose, passion, and plenty of heart!

Here’s what’s new and exciting!

💚 Growing Our Team – Please join us in giving a BIG Compass Point welcome to Amanda Whelchel, MS, LAC, our new Clinical Director!

Amanda brings a strong background in inpatient treatment, along with experience in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). As a licensed counselor, she brings valuable clinical knowledge and experience to our team as we continue strengthening our services and supporting individuals on their recovery journeys.

We’re excited to have Amanda on board and look forward to all the great things ahead! Help us give her a warm welcome in the comments!

🤝 Building Community Connections – We’re partnering with local businesses, organizations, and community members who believe in hope, healing, recovery, and prevention. Our "We Support Prevention" campaign is spreading, and we LOVE seeing our stickers out in the community! Keep those pictures coming! 📸

🏡 Strengthening Our Services – We’re continually working to improve our treatment programs, support our clients, and make sure individuals have access to the care and resources they need.

🎉 Getting Out Into the Community– From community events and recovery celebrations to new partnerships and upcoming activities, we’re finding more ways to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the people who make our communities stronger.

💚 And this is just the beginning! We have so much more planned, and we’re excited to bring you along for the journey.
