Congratulations to our beloved Activities Director, Sandy, who is stepping into a well deserved graduated retirement. After nearly nine years of joy, creativity, and heart, we are so grateful she will remain a part of our Orchard Hill family on a part-time basis. We could not be more excited to welcome our new full-time Activities Director, Jean, who has been learning the ropes and working side by side with Sandy this past month. What an amazing duo for our community!

816 words...a NEW RECORD at Orchard Hill! Our residents took on this Long Word/Short Wood challenge, calling out every word they could make from the letters of one VERY long word. For 90 minutes straight our residents were on fire and by the end we had completely shattered our previous record of 803 words. We could barely write fast enough to keep up!

🇺🇸 Orchard Hill celebrated in style with a festive Fourth of July BBQ! From the food to the fun, our residents and staff came together to honor this incredibly special milestone in our nation's history. Happy 250th America!

Orchard Hill was treated to a wonderful presentation called "The Why and How of Happiness", led by Mark Goldschmidt.

Mark is a beloved English teacher and coordinator of the Resiliency for Life program at Framingham High School. Mark's presentation and slideshow explored how happiness in our daily lives can contribute to better health, longevity, reduced stress and so much more. It was engaging and inspiring.

To go along with the theme, our residents enjoyed smiley face stickers, positive affirmation notebooks, refreshments and a raffle drawing for a special "Happy Basket". It was a wonderful afternoon all around.
