When temperatures soar, it’s especially important to protect our little ones from heat exhaustion and dehydration.

💧 Quick Tips to Beat the Heat:
✅ Stay hydrated — lots of water, even if they’re not thirsty!
✅ Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning
✅ Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
✅ Avoid outdoor play during peak heat (11 AM – 3 PM)
✅ Never leave children in a parked car — even for a minute

If your child shows signs of overheating like dizziness, nausea, or fatigue, cool them down immediately and give us a call.

Let’s enjoy summer safely — and remember, popsicles count as hydration too!

🕷️ Tick Check Time! 🧒🏽🌳

As the weather warms up and your kids spend more time outside, it’s tick season—and that means it’s time to be extra cautious!

Here’s how to help protect your little ones:
✅ Prevention Tips:
• Dress kids in long sleeves & pants when playing in grassy or wooded areas
• Use EPA-approved insect repellents (check age guidelines)
• Tuck pants into socks for extra protection
• Avoid tall grasses and stick to cleared trails
• Bathe or shower soon after outdoor play

🕵️‍♀️ Daily Tick Check:
Check your child’s:
• Scalp & behind ears
• Neck
• Underarms
• Waistband area
• Behind knees
• Between toes

🛑 Found a tick? Don’t panic!
Here’s what to do:
1 Use fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible
2 Pull upward with steady pressure—no twisting
3 Clean the area with soap and water
4 Watch for signs of rash, fever, or fatigue and call us with any concerns

Ticks can carry illnesses like Lyme disease, so being proactive is key. If you have questions, we’re just a call away!
