We don’t always get to Trader Joes Trader Joe's-Virginia Beach,VA but when we do, we stock up on our favorites. One of them is their almond tortilla shells. We decided to try something new this week and made tacos from Butterball ground turkey found at Food Lion. It was a nice change and we all really liked it. We are definitely going to be doing that again!

I, like many fellow Celiac I’m sure, often rely on “snack“ foods to hold me over until I am able to get home and make a meal. I often eat Chomps meat sticks on the go. Because they are easy and do not require refrigeration. This past weekend when we had my son’s senior photos taken 🥹, and we were starving and stopped at Food Lion for something to snack on. I did not find Chomps, but did find FATTY Smoked Meat Sticks. I liked that they were fatter and bought regular and BBQ. We ended up eating them between locations of the shoot. We agreed both were good, but absolutely LOVED the BBQ ones. Have you tried them? What’s your favorite snack food?

While in Philadelphia last weekend my son and I and enjoyed all the fried goodies that are hard to find in Hampton Roads…corn dogs, fried pickles, onion rings, and fried dough. Definitely a treat!!! Fox & Son Fair Foods in Reading Terminal was a nice treat! I am not going to lie, we intentionally booked the hotel across the street so we could eat there throughout the trip. ❤️ A wise decision because the hotel had nothing to eat but bananas for us. 😉

We ate a late lunch at Barnaby’s of America in Haverford, Pennsylvania with family last Friday. The staff and atmosphere was amazing! I had a Barnaby‘s burger when I gluten-free bun with mashed potatoes because the fryer was not a dedicated fryer. It was a really good 🍔 burger!!! Unfortunately the restaurant caught on fire in the past but lucky for us is up and running again.

We fight over Trader Joess muffins in our family! Owen got the last Cinnamon Strudel muffin, the ones we both fight over. I always regret not buying two packages. Good thing we have a pack of Strawberry 🍓Muffins to fall back on.

Yeah, but one thing I love because I saw pretzel. Prior to my diagnosis of those years ago, I was a frequent visitor to Auntie Annie’s pretzels. In Philadelphia, I found Sparrow's at Reading Terminal in Downtown Philly. As soon as I saw them, I knew I was buying them. A braided pretzel and Bavarian pretzel. This is the braided pretzel. The sales lady told me how to warm it up with water and oh it is so good warm and delicious! I highly recommend if in Philadelphia for work or play!
