Dr. Rayven Bridges, DPM, a native of East Texas, attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX where she served as captain of her competitive cheerleading team. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, CA. There she was involved in multiple clubs and organizations, holding various leadership roles and co-authored a study of open versus endoscopic Brostrom techniques published in the National Foot and Ankle Review.

Upon completing residency, Dr. Bridges moved to the suburbs of Katy to join Texas Foot and Ankle Specialists. She believes that communication is key to treatment and by listening to each individual patient concerning their unique condition, a treatment plan can be customized giving options for conservative or surgical care. As a former athlete, she understands the importance of a safe return to activity, optimized performance, and avoidance of future injury.

A native of Houston, TX, Dr. Phillip Applegate, DPM, graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. There, he co-authored a study on the endoscopic management of intermetatarsal neuromas.

Dr. Applegate completed a comprehensive three-year foot and ankle surgical residency with the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma/Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He trained for a year in Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by two years at the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City where he received extensive surgical training in all areas of foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Applegate returned to the Houston area upon residency graduation and moved to the Katy area where he founded Texas Foot and Ankle Specialists. Hundreds of ailments have been reported to the foot and ankle complex, with many
more likely to be reported in future years.

Some stem from hereditary/genetic factors, though the overwhelming majority arise
from the cumulative effects of normal wear and tear. Most issues respond well to
conservative management, with a select few requiring eventual surgical intervention.
When necessary, surgical intervention is treated as a last resort after all reasonable
conservative options are exhausted.

Thank you so much for the kind review!!
