Many sports-related eye injuries are preventable with sport-appropriate protective eyewear. Look for eyewear made with durable polycarbonate lenses: especially for basketball, baseball and softball, racquet sports, hockey, and other activities where impacts can happen.

Regular glasses and sunglasses are not the same as protective sports eyewear and should not be used as a substitute.
