Knowing the difference between Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke can save a life.

Please review these critical symptoms to protect yourself and your family:

🔴 HEAT EXHAUSTION (Body is Overheating)

What it looks like: Heavy sweating, cold/pale/clammy skin, dizziness, headache, nausea, a weak pulse, or muscle cramps.

Immediate Action: Move to an air-conditioned room, loosen clothing, sip cool water, and apply cool cloths.

When to seek care: If symptoms worsen or last longer than an hour, come see us right away.

🚨 HEAT STROKE (A Medical Emergency)

What it looks like: High body temperature (103°F or higher), hot/red/dry or damp skin, confusion, slurred speech, a rapid/strong pulse, or losing consciousness.

Immediate Action: Call 911 immediately. This is a life-threatening emergency. Move the person to shade and cool them down fast with cold water or ice packs while waiting for emergency responders. Do NOT give them fluids to drink.
