ts and services. We are dedicated to providing you with professional, comprehensive, and personalized care. Our Goal is to provide consistent, high quality audiologic care to each patient we serve. Audiologic care is the protection, preservation, evaluation, and treatment of the hearing and balance functions of the human audio-vestibular system. It is provided only by audiologists, either individually or as part of a health care team, who use their professional skills to improve the quality of life for each patient. Dr. Spencer has been a licensed audiologist since 1993. Her broad experience includes professional positions such as Senior Clinical Audiologist and Supervisor at The Methodist Hospital, Senior Clinical Audiologist at Texas Children's Hospital, and working in a variety of other clinical environments. Unlike many who offer audiologic care, Dr. Spencer is not limited to particular products. She is a distributor of many hearing aids and products which allows her to customize the care that each patient receives, provide high-quality, individualized fittings, and adapt to the unique needs of each patient.

Ever wonder why your ears feel pressure when you’re sick? Meet the Eustachian Tube.

This small tube connects your middle ear to the upper throat, helping regulate pressure and drain fluid. When a viral infection like a cold or the flu occurs, the lining of the Eustachian Tube can swell, causing fluid buildup and that uncomfortable pressure.

There are ways to help relieve it, but it’s always a good idea to check with a medical professional for the best care.

Your hearing health is connected to your brain health.

Research continues to show a strong relationship between untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline. When hearing loss is addressed early, it helps keep the brain actively engaged in conversation, social interaction, and everyday life.

A hearing evaluation is quick, painless, and can provide valuable information about your overall health.

Did you know the average person waits 7 years before seeking help for hearing loss?

Why do people wait?

• They think hearing loss is ā€œnot that bad yetā€
• They assume it’s just part of aging
• They don’t realize how much they are missing
• Family members adapt and speak louder

The truth is that hearing loss often happens gradually, making it difficult to notice right away.

The earlier hearing changes are addressed, the easier it is to stay connected to conversations, family, and everyday life.

If you suspect your hearing may have changed, a simple hearing evaluation is the first step.

Three things your audiologist wishes everyone knew about hearing health:

1ļøāƒ£ Hearing loss often happens slowly. Many people don’t notice changes until communication becomes difficult.

2ļøāƒ£ Today’s hearing technology is incredibly advanced. Modern devices are small, smart, and designed to adapt to real-world environments.

3ļøāƒ£ Treating hearing loss improves more than hearing. It helps support communication, relationships, and overall quality of life.

Your hearing plays a role in how you connect with the people and world around you.

Taking care of it matters.
