• TABC SHOWCASE GAME RULES 2026
1. 3-minute warm-up between games.
2. Two 15-minute halves with a regulation clock.
3. Each team has 1 full timeout and two 30 second timeouts.
4. The bonus (1 and 1) goes into effect on the 7th team foul of each half.
6. Double bonus on the 10th foul of each half.
7. There will be a 2-minute halftime.
8. A player fouls out on their 6th foul.
9. If a team is ahead by 30 points or more in the last 5 minutes, the clock will remain running. If a team is ahead by 20 points or more in the last 3 minutes, the clock will remain running.
10. Overtime is sudden death. (no timeouts)
12. First team listed is guest (wear dark colored jerseys).
Second team listed is home (wear light-colored jerseys)
13. Home team provides game ball.
14. Coach must fill out scoresheet roster prior to game

TABC Executive Director, Johnnie B. “Hawk” Carter, presenting at the UIL/Legislative Council meetings in Round Rock, June 10, 2026. TABC’s proposal for the use of the Shot Clock was agreed to by the Council in the following manner:During the 2026-2027 season, 35 second clocks may be used in Varsity tournaments if agreed upon by both coaches prior to the game. The UIL was asked by the Council to come up with a plan to phase in the use of the shot clock for the 2028-2029 school year by the October Legislative Council meetings.

2026 TABC Boys Showcase
June 26-28, 2026

The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, in conjunction with the NCAA, UIL, NFHS, and the NHSBCA, will be hosting a certified event for all college coaches, Division 1 thru Junior College. This is a June Scholastic Event, sanctioned by the NCAA, NFHS, NHSBCA, and the UIL. The UIL has approved of schools/districts allowing teams to use school resources for the TABC Showcases, only. It is up to the individual school/district to determine what they will allow.

The TABC BOYS SHOWCASE will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 26-28, 2026, at Duncanville Field House, Duncanville High School, Mansfield Field House, and Mansfield ISD Schools. The head coach is allowed to coach their team during the TABC Showcases, only, in the summer.

Please be aware that the Soccer World Cup will be taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, the same time as the TABC Boy’s Showcase. Hotel prices at most hotels may be higher than usual. TABC has secured great prices with certain hotels but you must use the TABC hotel link, below, or on the TABChoops.org website to secure those prices until the rooms are sold-out or the dead-line has passed. We encourage all coaches, college coaches, parents, and fans to use these hotels, if possible.

2026 TABC Girls Showcase

The TABC GIRLS JUNE SCHOLASTIC EVENT SHOWCASE will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 18-20, 2026 in Bryan, Texas at the Legends Event Center, Bryan HS, Rudder HS, Davila MS and Sadberry Intermediate School. The head coach is allowed to coach their team during the TABC Showcases, only, in the summer.

The TABC, Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, invites your son or daughter to come and find out why the TABC Camp of Champs has come to be known as “the basketball camp FOR the basketball player.” Over the past 30+ years, these camps have become a Texas Hoop Tradition. Our primary goal each summer is to help every player improve his or her skill level, while expanding their Basketball I.Q. and most importantly, having FUN! The TABC Camp of Champs Experience is guided by the ideal of helping each player by putting “the FUN in Fundamentals.” Our reputation for the camps has come from a focus on “All Basketball, All the Time!”
