Here at Texas Inpatient Consultants, we, high school, college, premed, and international medical graduate students, had the opportunity to tour PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land and gain invaluable clinical exposure.
During the tour, our premed and IMG students learned how rehabilitation teams combine caregiving with mental and physical exercises. Our trainees also observed a specialized support harness system that allows patients to practice standing and walking with assistance.

For our students, seeing these clinical techniques in real time provides essential practical insight as they work toward residency and their medical careers. At Texas Inpatient Consultants, we are dedicated to creating these learning experiences, guiding foreign medical graduates, and empowering the next generation of physicians. We at Texas Inpatient Consultants are looking to hire immediately, on a part-time basis, an experienced Medical Scribe. The individual should be a team player with a positive attitude and a focus on providing excellent customer service to our patients. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Scribe. This is not a remote position. Also, we are NOT looking for a medical assistant.
Location: Sugar Land
Work Schedule: Monday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday
Specialty: Internal Medicine/Primary Care
Job responsibilities :
Medical Scribing.
Obtain and update patient medical history and medication details.
Answering phone calls: Provide feedback and answers to patient, physician, and pharmacy calls.
Follows office policies, procedures, and protocols as appropriate
Medical Terminology and Medication knowledge
EMR skills - Practice Fusion, ECW, Athena, etc
Proven experience as a medical scribe
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Job Type: Part-time; Expected hours: 15-20/week
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour [based on prior experience]

We are urgently seeking a Bilingual Spanish-speaking Medical Assistant/Front Desk staff member to join our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in Primary Care. Interested candidates must also be willing to attend an in-person half-day working interview. Also must be available to join immediately.
Responsibilities:
Handle all front office administrative duties promptly
Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
Insurance verification and Referral/Prior Authorization experience is a must.
Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
Es**rt patients to exam rooms
Work hours: Monday - Friday, up to 30 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years' experience in front desk management.
EMR experience is necessary
Proficiency with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Proficient in medical terminology and procedures.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

We are looking for a responsible Medical Administrative Assistant/Documentation Specialist to perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks in our growing, fast-paced primary care medical office. Duties will include providing support to our physicians and manager, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like MS Excel and office equipment. Prior billing coding experience will be an asset.
Responsibilities/Skills:
Must have a minimum of 3 years of medical office experience: Primary care/Internal Medicine will be preferred.
Must have prior Clinical Documentation or Medical Records experience.
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must be dependable, hardworking, with great organizational skills.
Review medical records. ICD-10 & CPT Coding Knowledge is a must.
Plan meetings and manage the physician's calendar
Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
Medical Scribing
Insurance Verification & Prior Authorization
Assist in the coordination of medical internship/training programs, including functioning as a coordinator.
Other duties as directed
Strong EMR and computer skills are required, as our clinic is currently on the Practice Fusion electronic medical records (EMR) system. The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is important.
Compensation/Benefits:
$18-$25 / hour (based on prior experience
Fringe Benefits: Negotiable.

Great medicine starts with great educators. 👨‍⚕️📚
Our Teaching the Teachers Lunch & Learn was led by our summer interns who delivered presentations on Failure toThrive, Frailty, Urinary Tract Infections, and Falls—four critical topics that impact the health and quality of life of older adults every day especially in Skilled Nursing Facilities. We connected with more than 200 participants via Zoom!
Through collaborative discussions, evidence-based best practices, and real-world clinical experiences, this session created an opportunity to improve the quality of care of our SNF patients.
Thank you to all the nurses and faculty who attended and contributed to making this educational event a success. We look forward to continuing to learn, teach, and grow together!
