Surgery injury recovery it’s all hard! Sometimes we don’t understand how bad things are until we decide to fix them. That’s what happened to me. I knew my hip was a problem. I knew it was complicating workouts and things weren’t OK, but I chose to continue to ignore it. I wish I would’ve taken the time to truly recognize how bad it was. I wish I would’ve had it fixed sooner! But I didn’t and there is a purpose and a plan behind all of it. Today I am 90 days postop from hip surgery and today I ran for the first time in at least two years with ZERO pain. Today tears fell. I didn’t understand how hard of an emotional battle I was facing until I finally had an opportunity to let it out. We don’t always understand the plan. We don’t always understand the way God works. But I know that God was behind this orchestrating every move. Through this I have grown in faith. I have learned to depend on people in ways that I did not previously depend on. I learned to trust that God would provide, and I learned to trust that God would take care of everything. I learned that I don’t need to fear the outcome. I don’t need to control it all. Today for the first time in a very long time, I was able to do something that I used to dislike, but I will never take for granted again! What a journey these last three months have been! I’m not 100% and still have a long way to go, but there is light visible at the end of the tunnel! Thank you to all of you for your prayers, meals, reaching out to help, or just to check in! I love you all!
