Meet Lisa Waring, LPN — Assistant Nurse Supervisor at AllCare Living Services! 🩺💙

When it comes to caring for Lowcountry seniors, experience and heart go hand in hand. Lisa was raised right here in Charleston on the Air Force base and has dedicated her life to serving others. Before joining our AllCare family, she spent years as a nurse caring for our nation’s heroes at the VA.

Now retired from the VA, Lisa brings that incredible depth of clinical experience, compassion, and leadership to our team every day—helping ensure our clients in Summerville, Charleston, Nexton, and beyond receive the safe, personalized, and dignified care they deserve in the comfort of home. 🏡✨

Outside of work, Lisa is a proud wife, mother of two, and grandmother to three. In her free time, you’ll usually find her enjoying a good book or taking a peaceful walk. 📚👟

Protecting our aging parents from UV rays goes deeper than just applying sunscreen. Did you know many common senior medications, like certain blood pressure or heart medicines, can actually increase sun sensitivity? This means seniors can burn or overheat much faster than usual.

Here is a quick summer safety checklist for your family:
🌟Check labels: Ask your pharmacist if your loved one's medications cause sensitivity to light.
🌟The 30-minute rule: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ at least 30 minutes before going outside.
🌟Don't forget the details: Remember the tops of ears, the back of the neck, and the hands!
