The ER doctor did his best after the patient’s bad fall.
She wanted Dr Carniol to make it better and she felt a lump. ‼️
This patient’s journey began after a fall onto rocks that left her needing stitches at the ER. As the area healed, she continued to feel like something wasn’t quite right with her scar. That’s when she came to Carniol Plastic Surgery.

During her scar evaluation, it became apparent that a tumor was forming within the scar itself. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and revise her scar.

But then came an unexpected discovery. Embedded right next to the scar was a small rock from her fall that had been missed when the wound was initially treated and stitched in the ER. 🪨👀

We removed the rock along with the tumor and revised the scar. Once the area had healed, she came back to us for CO₂ laser treatment. Now, with the help of CO₂ laser resurfacing, her scar is fading and blending more naturally with the surrounding skin. ✨

Sometimes healing is a journey with a few unexpected twists along the way!
