Each of our professionals contribute individual knowledge and expertise, which allows a comprehensive picture to be created of every child’s areas of challenge, and just as importantly, areas of strength.

Our final Spring Dinner with Friends Restaurant Week was at The Office Tavern & Grill in downtown Summit! 🍕🍔

Our teens enjoyed pizza and cheeseburgers while practicing important life skills - socializing, budgeting, and paying for their own meals. We’re so proud of their growth this season and can’t wait for our Summer Dinner with Friends session featuring all-new restaurants and foods!

A special shoutout to Katie for planning and hosting these groups, with the help of Rosie and Cynthia. We couldn’t do it without you ladies!💛

Summer is almost here, and our Summer Programs are filling up fast! We’re getting ready for a season full of growth, confidence, connection, and FUN!☀️

🌱 Summer Sprouts Preschool Enrichment: A 6-week sensory-rich program designed to build communication, social, and motor skills through play-based learning, themed stories, movement, sensory play, and hands-on activities.

🎒 Kindergarten Bootcamp: A 2-week intensive focused on kindergarten readiness through structured routines, hands-on learning, independence-building, and confidence-boosting activities.

🥑 Munch & Mingle: A 6-week feeding program supporting picky eaters and children with sensory-based food aversions using the SOS Approach to Feeding. Kids explore new foods in a fun, low-pressure environment while building confidence at mealtimes.

🍽️ Dinner with Friends: Teens build confidence in real-world social and dining skills through guided restaurant experiences. Participants practice ordering meals, budgeting and paying, communicating dietary needs, and socializing with peers in a supportive setting.

Celebrating 10 years of Speech Therapist Michelle Cooper, M.S., CCC-SLP, at Creative Speech Solutions, LLC! 💙

Michelle is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive experience in clinical and school-based settings. She works with preschool and school-aged children with a wide range of needs, including language delays, articulation disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and more. She also has specialized experience in feeding and swallowing therapy.

At CSS, Michelle has been an integral part of child study teams, IEP meetings, and collaborative school support, always focusing on individualized, evidence-based therapy tailored to each child. Her commitment to helping children build communication skills and supporting families is at the heart of her work.

We are so grateful for 10 years of Michelle’s dedication, expertise, and care as an SLP at CSS! ✨

A little story behind the gift Ashton gave Rosie last week 💛

The handmade sculpture has been passed down from supervisor to supervisor since the 1970s. Ashton’s supervisor gave it to her with instructions to pass it along to her very first student clinician - and now Rosie gets to continue the tradition someday when she has her first student clinician 😊

Such a meaningful way to honor generations of mentorship in the SLP community ✨

We wish Rosie the best of luck in her future endeavors and know she'll do amazing things as an SLP in the years to come!

Celebrating Laura Heil and 15 amazing years with Creative Speech Solutions! 💙

Laura joined CSS with extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of diagnoses, including autism and cerebral palsy. Her individualized, sensory-based approach focuses on developing fine motor, gross motor, and visual-perceptual skills while always supporting the whole child.

Laura’s collaborative spirit, thoughtful evaluations, and exceptional therapy services have made a lasting impact in our clinic, ABA settings like The Uncommon Thread, and within the families she serves. She is a true team player who represents CSS with kindness, professionalism, and integrity every day.
