We are ending the week by celebrating the graduations of two amazing Physical Therapy patients!

📸 1: Shirley Landreneau came to us to improve strengthening and balance during daily skills and address back pain.

📸 2: Kim Jones came to us for cervical pain, posture, and overall strengthening.

We are so proud of your dedication and honored to have been a part of your healing journeys.

Mrs. Jones described her therapists as outstanding and patient with her issues. She reports feeling grateful and much better!

👋🏼Welcome Wednesday👋🏼

Please join us in welcoming Julianna Johnson, M.S., CF-SLP to our Speech Therapy Team!

Julianna received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi. She chose to become an SLP because she wanted a career that would allow her to help individuals overcome challenges, celebrate progression, become a support system for them and their families, and to watch them build confidence while reaching their functional communication or feeding/ swallowing goals to the best of their abilities.

Julianna lives in Monticello, MS. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, painting, shopping, and afternoon walks with her dog.

When asked why she chose The Summit, Julianna replied, “I chose The Summit because I saw an opportunity to work with pediatrics and adults in a welcoming and positive environment built to support their needs. I am excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with such a compassionate and supportive team here at The Summit.”

Julianna brings a positive energy and level of compassion for patients that is hard to beat! We are so happy she chose us. 💚

💪🏽 Motivation Monday 💪🏽

After facing vision loss due to glaucoma and recovering from surgery, Pamela Wooley worked hard alongside our PT, OT, and ST teams to regain strength, confidence, and independence.

Through determination and perseverance, she achieved goals including:
✨ Improved functional mobility using a guide stick
✨ Increased strength and endurance following surgery
✨ Greater independence with self-care and daily routines
✨ Learning compensatory strategies for writing and signing her name including using tactile borders

After many years of hard work, milestones, laughs, and uno games… he officially did it! Carter is a HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE! 🎓👏

We have had the privilege of watching this amazing young man grow up over the years, and it was so fun to celebrate this accomplishment with him! He has shown determination, humor, resilience, and enough personality to keep our clinic entertained for a long time!

Last week, we wished a bittersweet farewell to our Jordyn. She is making a big move, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! We will miss her stories and enthusiasm for those she loves (including Mr. Rogers and Elvis). 😆
