🏁 Pedal to the Metal at Red Hill Raceway! 🏁

It’s race weekend at Red Hill Raceway as the USAC & Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars take to the track tonight and tomorrow night!

Your Christy Fire and LCAS crews will be on site providing event coverage and helping keep everyone safe while the drivers put on a show.

We’re fortunate to have such a great racing facility right here in our community. So grab a hamburger, find a seat in the stands, and enjoy some of the best dirt track racing around!

A big thank you to Dave & Mert Burgett with Burgett Farms for donating a delicious basket of farm-fresh goodies for our June 13 Cruise-In!

This beautiful handcrafted wooden flag was donated by Dusty’s Tire in Clay City and will be given away at our June 13 Cruise-In!

The extended forecast is looking great, no rain in sight for June 13!

Don’t worry about the heat either. The firehouse will be open throughout the day, providing plenty of shade and a cool place to sit down and enjoy breakfast or lunch.

We’ll also be starting to recognize the businesses and individuals who have donated door prizes for this year’s Cruise-In. We appreciate the support from our community! If you’d like to donate a door prize, send us a message or talk to one of our firefighters.

And don’t forget, we’re still selling tickets for our “Freedom Seed Distributor” raffle, with the drawing taking place on the 4th of July!

We can’t wait to see everyone at Station 1 on June 13th!

Bring your car, truck, motorcycle, tractor, or whatever you can roll in and spend the day with us!

We’ll have food, prizes, fire trucks, and did we mention food?

Grab breakfast or lunch and enjoy a meal inside the firehouse while checking out some amazing rides and visiting with friends and neighbors.

The only thing that can stop this party is the rain, so keep your fingers crossed and your lawn chairs ready!

Most of our district is considered “rural,” and many areas can be difficult to access. A call today in the northwestern part of our 168 square mile district brought together Christy Fire, Arrow EMS, Jasper County EMS, the Olney Fire Department ,with their SXS, the Richland Co. Sheriffs Dept, and Air Evac Lifeteam 150 - Olney, IL.

Different agencies. Different equipment. One team working together to provide patient care.

That’s how the fire and EMS service is supposed to work. Rural medicine is not always easy, and there’s no magic “easy access” button hiding out in the beans unfortunately. But when departments work together, good things happen.
