This summer will be three year post op!!!! THREE YEARS! It’s so hard to believe our superhuman will receive his three year award! We will be leaving shortly after school gets out! All of us will support him on this trip, we will be there for the better half of three to four days with how appointments are lining up.

Since surgery the biggest issues we have faced is blood sugars not wanting to regulate like they are suppose too. We have been through tech issues with Dexcom not wanting to stick, omnipods seemed to not want to stick neither. He was switch to the g7 and the tandem mobi. Seems to be going well. We have hhit a bump along the way where certain areas are no longer allowing insulin to get through, we are contantly having to change areas to find what works for his body to accept the insulin. It can be extremely tough from time to time. We also face infections a lot quicker than the normal kids with spleens. This constantly requires close watch, Jax will go down very quickly. Headaches, then fever, then throwing up. In that order and all within and hour! It goes from normal to scary very quickly. Thankfully since our move, he has a wonderful team that listen to me and not try to treat them like they know more. (We have had this issue in the past)

Other than that he is a normal, I know I said that like it’s not a lot, kid! He loves soccer, going to school with his AB honor roll, swimming, and definitely climbing trees. He has come along way in his care and we couldn’t be prouder!

Superhuman update:

All appointments went well. Healing perfectly, no other pains or issues. We have to work on getting his sugars where they should be this is tricky with him, he is high energy and tends to drop at dosing. We changed his numbers again and just have to keep on keeping on and get these numbers right. It was an amazing visit. Met a few new Tpiat friends today at appointments saw one our first friends. All in all little dude is doing amazing 😌😌😌😌🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟 we finally arrived home just a little bit ago.

Finally touched down in Ohio! Waiting on the family to log on and play before settling to bed ❤️ check ups tomorrow
