Throw Back Thursday - We visited the Sumter Museum’s “Back Country Tour” - our guide Michael did an amazing job sharing stories and history with us! We enjoyed learning about the cabins, cotton and wool spinning, crops and the history of the buildings themselves!

Thank you so very much to Ms. Diana Ruth who came to visit us and share about Pirate History and Lore! She shared Historical Facts vs Hollywood Fun about the lives, food, ships and flags! We are so lucky to have her share her knowledge and we really enjoyed her costume and props and all about common herbs and plants used on ship as medication and of course we enjoyed some tasty pirate skull puffs, gold chocolates and crimson deb-loon cookies with “Ocean Water” Cocktail and Mocktails!

Thank you so much to Ms. Libby who came to visit us this week with several tiny dancers in costume to bring joy to our residents! Our residents love to see the littles dancing, smiling and performing their best! Thank you to all the parents and teachers who helped make this a success! Our littlest visitors even treated our residents to a little sweet treat!

We are finally feeling the Fall weather this morning - check out these beautiful pumpkins we made earlier this month with Kristie from Pathway Hospice! Each one is unique and wonderful - a perfect way to celebrate fall!

Thank you so much to our local community who brought their cars out for our residents to enjoy! We had a fantastic time reminiscing, enjoying root b**r floats and great conversation! The Orange and Purple Buick won our “Resident and Staff Choice” Trophy! We’re curious, which was your favorite!?

Thanks so much to Synchrony PT for setting up this interactive obstacle course and doing an inservice with our residents on the importance of Balance and Fall Preventions this month! We are so grateful to be able to offer our residents in-house Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy with our awesome Therapy Staff!
