eSTEAM Sumter is a family festival celebrating and bringing together enthusiasts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The purpose is to expose festival participants to advances and opportunities in these ever-growing areas through interactive exhibits, fun-filled displays and hands-on activities. This combination of entertainment and STEAM is an adventure providing family fun to everyone. These Intenational Student Athletes from France, Spain, Argentina, and Trinidad engaged in conversations about peer pressure, and addictions. August 31, is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). The Sumter Community faced over 30 overdoses last year. Today by placing flags at locations in Sumter, we honor lives lost, and continue to educate families, and friends. Thanks to the Sumter Police Department, Sumter County Clerk of Court, Sumter County Emergency Medical Services, Sumter County Coroners Office, Durant Children's Centerand Prisma Health Tuomey on supporting our Agency in the fight against overdoses in Sumter.
