On June 2, SBHS visited the campus of Morris College for the annual AFROTC Leadership Cadet Leadership Course. Students from High Schools across the state of South Carolina learned about peer pressure, discipline and addictions. Students also discussed Va**ng, and underage drinking.

On Friday, May 21st, SBHS participated the Mayfest Community event hosted by Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center. It was a great turnout, the attendees had a blast. There was even a Michake Jackson protege out there cutting it up!Thank you for allowing us to join along with other local Mental Health Service organizations to show support!

On May 21, 2026, SBHS attended the Memorial Day Program hosted by University of South Carolina SumterStudent Veterans. The event Pays homage to the Men and Women who have served, currently serving and will serve this Country in the future. Thanks to Lt. Colonel Barbara Kucharcyk (Ret.) for speaking at the event.

SBHS worked in collabaration with Mrs. Mcquilars 5th grade class Cherryvale Elementary School throughout the year on the dangers of Va**ng, ni****ne and the other avenues of addiction in can lead to. The students were so excited to put together this amazing anit-vaping/ni****ne video, with the choreography done all on their own! Check them out! Thank you to Mrs. Mcquillars and Cherryvale Elementary for participating in the joint effort in helping raise awareness on the dangers of Va**ng/Nicotine among the youths within our community.
