Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with gratitude. You are the giver of life, the author of love, and the One who calls us into relationship, with You and with one another.

Today we lift up families.

We pray for every kind of family represented in this room and across our community; married and single, grandparents raising grandchildren, foster and adoptive families, blended families, families bound not only by blood but by commitment and care. You see them all. You love them all.

And we pray for those whose families have been broken by loss, addiction, incarceration, or estrangement, meet them in that grief, and remind them they are never without a Father.

Lord, strengthen the bonds within our homes. Where there is weariness, bring rest. Where there is conflict, bring reconciliation. Where there is grief, bring comfort. Where there is anxiety about the future, bring peace.

We pray for families facing hunger, housing instability, illness, or financial strain. Provide daily bread. Provide safe shelter. Provide access to care and support. Stir our hearts to be attentive neighbors, not turning away from need, but moving toward it with compassion.

Protect our children. Guard their minds and bodies. Surround them with adults who model wisdom, courage, and integrity. Help us to create communities where every child is safe, valued, and given the opportunity to flourish.

We pray for parents and caregivers carrying heavy loads, give them endurance. Give them patience. Give them joy in the small, ordinary moments that shape a lifetime.

We thank You for those who serve families as a calling β€” the teachers, social workers, foster families, and helpers who show up faithfully, often unseen. Sustain them. Remind them that their work matters and that You see every sacrifice made in service to others.

And Lord, teach us what it means to love our neighbors well. Open our eyes to the families whose struggles may be hidden. Make us a community that reflects Your kindness: slow to judge, quick to listen, ready to serve.

We pray for the leaders gathered in this room, give them wisdom to shape policies and invest resources in ways that strengthen families before crises begin. May every decision made in the halls of government be guided by a heart for the vulnerable and a commitment to the common good.

On this National Day of Prayer, we ask that our homes would be places of peace, our city a place of belonging, and our hearts aligned with Yours.

We trust You with our families, with our children, and with our future.

And as we leave this place, may we carry this prayer into action, because faith without works is hollow, and love that stays in our hearts but never reaches our hands is incomplete.

In Your holy name we pray,
Amen.

Mom - a truly high calling. Happy Mother's Day! A baby will make love stronger, days shorter; nights longer; bankroll smaller; home happier; clothes shabbier; the past forgotten; a future worth living for.

did a great job at communicating a great experienced lesson on love being greater than hate. I was so pumped yesterday after hearing him speak. Pray fervently and you are going to see things you never believed possible become real.
