It’s National Case Management Week!

This week, Tandem Health recognizes the dedicated case managers who help connect the many pieces of a patient’s healthcare journey.

Case managers do so much behind the scenes and beside our patients—helping coordinate care, navigate resources, overcome barriers, understand next steps and connect with the services and support they need. Their work helps make healthcare feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more connected.

At Tandem Health, we know caring for the whole person often extends far beyond an appointment. Our case managers are advocates, problem-solvers, resource connectors and trusted members of the care team who work every day to help our patients move forward.

🩷 Tandem Health was proud to be part of the 5th Annual Pink in the City! 🩷

Our Tandem Health team enjoyed spending Saturday at the Sumter County Civic Center supporting Faith Strong and this special community event dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education and support.

Pink in the City brings our community together to celebrate survivors and thrivers, encourage those who continue to fight, and honor the memory of those we have lost to breast cancer. 🎀

This year’s event was especially meaningful as Faith Strong continues the legacy of its founder, Tamekia Hunter Ross, who passed away from breast cancer in August 2025. Her vision of providing support, encouragement and hope to those impacted by breast cancer continues to make a difference in our community. 🩷

We are grateful to everyone who stopped by to visit the Tandem Health team and to Faith Strong for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful day.

Together, we can continue to raise awareness, support those impacted by breast cancer and remind our community that no one has to face the journey alone. 🎀🩷

This week, Tandem Health is proud to recognize and celebrate the Physician Assistants who play an important role in caring for our patients and strengthening the health of our community.

PAs bring knowledge, skill, compassion and collaboration to healthcare every day. From diagnosing and treating illnesses to providing preventive care, educating patients and helping individuals better understand and manage their health, their impact reaches far beyond the exam room.

Mental Illness Awareness Week is a reminder that mental health is health.

Behind every diagnosis is a person—a coworker, friend, parent, neighbor or loved one—who deserves compassion, understanding and access to support without judgment or shame.

Mental illness doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. Someone can show up, smile, work, care for others and still be struggling in ways we cannot see. That’s why the words we use, the kindness we extend and our willingness to simply listen can matter more than we realize.

At Tandem Health, we believe caring for the whole person means making space for both physical and mental well-being. This week, we encourage our community to keep talking, keep learning and keep reminding one another that asking for help is a sign of strength.

A little more compassion. A little less judgment. And a community where no one has to struggle in silence.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

At Tandem Health, we believe awareness is about more than wearing pink—it’s about taking action for your health and encouraging the people you love to do the same.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, and early detection can make a meaningful difference. Knowing your body, understanding your personal risk factors, keeping up with recommended screenings, and talking with your healthcare provider about any changes or concerns are important steps in protecting your health.

This month, we honor those who have faced breast cancer, celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside the families and loved ones whose lives have been impacted.

Take care of yourself. Schedule the appointment. Ask the questions. Encourage someone you love to do the same.
