An animal's unconditional love is more than a wagging tail, nose kisses, or cozying up in a friendly lap. Walking a dog gets you moving and their presence can help regulate blood pressure.

A change of scenery and a picnic lunch at Simmons Conservation Park made for the perfect afternoon! We enjoyed a lunch surrounded by nature while sharing conversations and plenty of laughs. It was a wonderful afternoon of sightseeing with our friends! Beautiful views, great conversations, and lots of laughs filled the day with joy. The highlight of our afternoon was definitely stopping for some Wendy’s frosties! They were the perfect sweet treat to cool off on a hot, sunny day. ☀️🍦

Our Readers Club had an amazing time! These ladies enjoyed coming together to share their love of books, favorite genres, authors, and stories they highly recommend. It was such a wonderful time listening to everyone’s different perspectives and seeing how each conversation sparked interest and excitement in others. There’s nothing like a good book and great company! ❤️

Some of our all time favorite include "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes; "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult; "Between Sisters" by Kristin Hannah; "The Christmas Spirits on Tradd Street" by Karen White; and "Blessings in Disguise" by Nancy Mehl.

We’re back with another resident highlight, and this time we are shining the spotlight on Anne Marie! ✨

Anne Marie loves the color red, ginger ale, and getting a relaxing manicure (in red of course)! When we asked about her favorite food, she told us she’s a big fan of all breakfast foods. Especially scrambled eggs, toast, and fresh fruit!

If Anne Marie could travel anywhere in the world, she would go right back home to New Jersey where she was born and raised. One of her favorite childhood memories from growing up in New Jersey is playing “Ring Around the Rosie” back in kindergarten (us too)!

When we asked what her favorite part about living here at Sun City Senior Living is, she said that there’s so many nice people she can’t wait to get to know better!

Physical activity is the key to living a longer and healthier life. It helps improve sleep quality, mental health, and allows us to maintain strength and mobility. Yoga, stretching, walking, and water aerobics are all fantastic ways to get your blood pumping and body moving!

Today is Senior Health and Fitness Day! We're prioritizing both our physical and mental health by moving our bodies and getting outside. We'd love to hear about your favorite ways to move and how you prioritize well-being!
