🛍️ Thrift Store Treasure Hunt!

Our thrifters were out in full force today, hitting two different thrift stores in search of hidden gems, great finds, and maybe a few things we absolutely didn’t need, but couldn’t leave behind! Even better, everyone scored a 20% off coupon to stretch those bargain-hunting dollars a little further.

And look what made its debut today… 👀 We spotted the first tie-dye shirt in the wild from our craft earlier this week! 🌈👕 It turned out great, and we have a feeling this won’t be the last one we see around The Palms!

🎨 A Little Color at The Palms! 👕

Our residents got creative with a classic—tie-dye! From twisting and folding to choosing just the right colors, every shirt is shaping up to be completely one-of-a-kind.

Now comes the hardest part… waiting to see how they turned out!

Good food, good music, and great company! 🍳🎶

Residents enjoyed a delicious lunch outing to Hash Kitchen (and some very impressive Bloody Marys), while Happy Hour brought music, laughter, and fun to The Palms with the wonderful Mary Hollan on piano and vocals. Two great ways to enjoy life together!

Here’s a different style from the ones we’ve been using—more of a “day in the life” snapshot:

Some days at The Palms are packed with adventure, and some are simply filled with all the little moments that make a community feel like home. ❤️

On this particular day, residents started with stretching and Tai Chi, a rousing match of seated volley, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, competed in our Invitational Putting Series, gathered for a glass of wine and some art at Sip N Create, challenged friends to a game of Pinochle, and even wrapped up the day with water aerobics.

Whether you’re looking to stay active, learn something new, express your creativity, or simply spend time with friends, there’s always something happening at The Palms. Every day offers another opportunity to connect, laugh, and enjoy life together.

This week was a wonderful blend of art, learning, and entertainment at The Palms! 🎨🎶

Residents enjoyed a fascinating presentation from Phoenix Art Museum Master Docent Sally Marini, exploring the story of America through remarkable works of art, from early exploration to the founding of a new nation. It sparked great conversation and a new appreciation for the stories art can tell.

We also filled out the week with a packed Happy Hour as Vito M. filled the room with familiar favorites, laughter, and plenty of dancing and singing along. It’s always a joy to see our community come together for afternoons like these!

Our community was buzzing with activity during our Vendor Fair! It was wonderful to see talented resident vendors and local businesses showcasing their unique products side by side, all under one roof. Thank you to every vendor who participated and helped make the event such a success! We truly appreciate your time, creativity, and support of our community!

A special thank you as well to our Family Advisors, who have been spreading patriotic cheer by delivering festive goodies during their home visits. These thoughtful gestures are another example of the kindness and connections that make The Palms such a special place to call home. ❤️🤍💙

⚾️ HOME RUN DIAMONDBACKS! ⚾️

Make that two! Today we’re out at Chase Field cheering on the Arizona Diamondbacks as they take on the Athletics! From the excitement of the first pitch to the crack of the bat, there’s nothing quite like spending a day at the ballpark with friends.

Outings like these are about more than baseball, they’re about making memories and enjoying great experiences together, but most of all, it’s about living life to the fullest! Here’s to an afternoon of America’s favorite pastime… and hopefully a Diamondbacks win! 🐍❤️⚾

Music, movement, and a little patriotic spirit. Emily’s Musical Masterpieces class took us on a beautiful journey through the Grand Canyon Suite. Meanwhile, our Seated Volley class keeps getting bigger and better. And yes, Fridays still mean red, white and blue! Just another wonderful week at The Palms!

🇺🇸 America 250 is bringing out the very best in our community! 🇺🇸

Our celebration of America’s 250th birthday has been filled with meaningful moments and opportunities to give back.

We were honored to welcome our local first responders to the community, where they enjoyed breakfast bags specially prepared by our Executive Chef, Tamara, as a small token of our appreciation for their service and dedication.

At the same time, we launched our goal of completing 250 Acts of Kindness in honor of America’s 250th birthday—and thanks to the generosity of our residents and team members, we’re already on pace to far exceed that number!

So far, we’ve shared dozens of bouquets of flowers and handmade cards to brighten our residents’ days, and our residents and employees came together for a Back to School Drive, filling a tremendous box with school supplies for neighborhood students.

America has always been at its best when neighbors care for neighbors, and we’re proud to celebrate this historic milestone by spreading kindness throughout our community and beyond. ❤️🤍💙

An unforgettable time was in store as our residents headed to the Arizona Broadway Theatre for an evening of fine dining and the spectacular production of Cats! From sharing a delicious meal together to experiencing the incredible music, costumes, and talent on stage, it was far more than an outing, it was an adventure! Here’s to many more adventures together!
