Chef RJ Harvey, “The Spud Chef,” and Chef Aurora Hollenbeck recently joined us for a two-day culinary experience featuring creative potato-inspired dishes from the “Spud Lab.”

Our residents and team members enjoyed delicious creations while discovering just how versatile the humble potato can be!

A big thank you to Chef RJ and Chef Aurora for sharing your talent, creativity, and passion with Royal Oaks. We had an un-fry-gettable time! 🥔

We’re celebrating an incredible milestone for Sheila Joyce—21 years of bringing therapy dogs to visit Royal Oaks residents each week! ❤️

Over the years, Sheila has rescued eight Golden Retrievers, lovingly trained them to become Certified Therapy Dogs, and shared their comfort and companionship with residents in Assisted Living, Friendship House, and the Care Center.

Today, Sheila continues this wonderful tradition with Kiki, while also training her ninth dog, a sweet puppy named Buddy!

We are so grateful for the joy, comfort, and unconditional love Sheila and her therapy dogs have brought to our community over the years. What a blessing they have been!

Congratulations, Sheila, and Happy Anniversary! 🎉🐾❤️

Royal Oaks residents gathered at Azul for a memorable tequila tasting! Guests enjoyed expertly crafted tequila cocktails paired with delicious small bites designed to complement the unique flavors of each drink.

The afternoon was filled with new tastes, lively conversation, laughter and wonderful company. It’s experiences like these that make life at Royal Oaks so special—trying something new, connecting with friends and making great memories together.

Our Royal Oaks team came together in an incredible way for our Back-to-School Supply Drive! Thanks to their generosity, we exceeded our goal by filling 96 backpacks with school supplies for local children in the Peoria foster care community.

Each backpack is more than school supplies—it's a reminder that these students have a community cheering them on. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make a difference. Together, we're helping children start the school year with confidence, one backpack at a time! ❤️✏️

We had an amazing time celebrating the 250th birthday of America with a day full of patriotic spirit, laughter, great company, and unforgettable memories!

As we honored our nation's incredible 250-year journey, we also celebrated the community that makes days like these so special. Thank you to everyone who joined us as we reflected on our history, celebrated the freedoms we cherish, and created new memories together.
