This week’s Golden Badge goes to our wonderful Housekeeping Director, Marieli Ferreris!
Marieli is one of those exceptional leaders who works quietly behind the scenes, making sure both our residents and staff are well cared for. She consistently goes above and beyond to support her department, stepping in when team members call off or simply need a well-deserved day off. No task is ever beneath her, and she never hesitates to work alongside her team to ensure the needs of our facility are met.
A clean and welcoming environment plays an important role in our residents’ comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Marieli understands that housekeeping is about much more than cleaning rooms. It is about creating a home where residents feel comfortable, cared for, and proud of their surroundings. From fresh linens and clean common areas to attending to spills, special requests, and the many little details residents notice, Marieli helps ensure our facility feels safe, pleasant, and welcoming every day.
A few weeks ago, we transitioned to a new waste-management company and experienced several logistical challenges during the early stages of that change. Marieli was an integral part of managing the situation and ensuring our facility remained clean, safe, and compliant. She approached each challenge calmly, remained focused on finding solutions, and did whatever was necessary to support the facility.
Marieli’s dedication, reliability, and willingness to step in wherever she is needed make her an invaluable member of our team. Her work may often happen behind the scenes, but its impact is visible throughout our entire facility.
