El Camino Hospital Rehabilitation Center CARF-accredited 30-bed Inpatient Acute Rehab Center caring for patients that have had functional decline due to various neurologic & medical conditions.

The El Camino Hospital Rehabilitation Center is an inpatient 30-bed facility that is internationally accredited by CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). It is also part of a NIH Regional Stroke Network and the Stanford NINDS Stroke Trials Network. The facility serves patients in the entire San Francisco Bay Area. The primary focus of the inpatient Rehab Center is to

help individuals impacted by a medical condition to maximize function and quality of life so that they may safely return back home. Each patient admitted to the Rehab Center is provided a customized program where 3 hours of Rehab therapies are provided daily by highly-trained Physical Therapists & Occupational Therapists. Speech Therapy is also offered for patients who have communication and/or swallowing difficulties. To complement cognitive and emotional recovery, we have a Neuropsychologist as part of the treatment team. To help patients take full advantage of their valuable therapy time, each patient's active medical issues are attended to daily by a talented team of Stanford-trained, Board-certified Rehabilitation Specialist Physicians as well as Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physicians. Patients are also compassionately cared for 24 hours/day by Rehabilitation Nurses. Commonly Treated Diagnoses include:
-Stroke
-Brain Injury from Tumors or Trauma
-Spinal Cord Injury
-Spinal Stenosis treated with surgery
-Hip or Pelvic Fractures after a fall
-Complicated Hip or Knee Replacement Surgeries
-Parkinson's Disease
-Multiple Sclerosis
-Guillain-Barre Syndrome
-Neuropathy
-Myopathy
-Limb Amputations
-Acute Functional Decline from recent Medical Illness
