HOPE-TMS® Therapy is redefining what's possible for people living with treatment-resistant depression.

Using advanced precision targeting and expert clinical care, every treatment plan is tailored to the individual—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

At Acacia Clinics, our goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms. It's to help people reclaim their lives, reconnect with what matters most, and move toward lasting wellness.

As our founder, Dr. David Carreon, says:
"We don't want to leave people simply un-depressed. We want them to flourish."

If you or someone you love has been struggling despite trying medications or therapy, there may be another option.

I joined Acacia around the end of April 2025. Growing up, I noticed many of my peers struggling with their mental health without having access to the resources needed to cope. Because of this, I decided to pursue a career in psychology and neuroscience in hopes of better supporting those facing mental health challenges. I am passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves, and I’m grateful to have found a place that truly prioritizes patient well-being. Acacia impressed me with its smooth clinical operations, innovative research, and warm environment, and I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to its vision. 💙

Mental health is often a hidden struggle—one that almost everyone experiences, yet is difficult to openly discuss. Like the physical body, mental health needs to be nurtured and cared for, but not everyone has the resources or awareness to do so. There have been significant strides over the past few decades toward reducing the societal stigma surrounding mental health; however, there is still much more work to be done to help people become the best versions of themselves.

One situation I distinctly remember involved a patient who initially was very quiet and reluctant to engage in conversation. She was always polite but reserved, and I could tell she wasn’t in the mood to talk. However, during her final few sessions, she began opening up and sharing more about her life. I learned more about her in those last few sessions than I had in the first couple of months, even though I saw her almost every day. Her face seemed brighter and more expressive. It was an incredible transformation to witness—one that I hope to help bring about for others who need it. ✨

If you live with depression or depressive symptoms, you’ve likely been on the hunt for a way to transform your brain. 🧠

You know medication is available – and comes with a wide range of side effects. 😵‍💫

You know therapy can be transformative, but takes time. 🕰️

If you’ve been looking to treat your depression in a fast, meaningful way, consider TMS therapy.

Meet Nathan! 👋 Our COO and co-founder. He’s been here since day one. Nate and David Carreon opened Acacia's doors in 2018 as two Stanford Med friends who believed treatment-resistant didn't mean hopeless. Behind the scenes, Nate ensures the place runs the way the mission demands.

-

I was tired of working in the medical device industry, and I wanted to directly care for patients again.

Mental health is part of whole-body health. Mental health issues manifest physically, and physical health impacts your mental state. If we want to take care of our whole body, we can't forget about our mental health. 🧠✨

Very early in Acacia's history, I remember a graduate student who was initially indifferent to TMS but suddenly had a change in attitude when it started to work. While the student “played it cool” because their parents were there, I could tell they were extremely happy to feel better. It was the first time I had seen such amazing results, and this experience reinforced my belief in TMS. 🌱
